Chris Harrison Says Tyler C Probably Won't Be The Next Bachelor
Now that season 15 of The Bachelorette has wrapped, fans are wondering which of Hannah Brown's rejected suitors will be the next Bachelor. According to Chris Harrison, the host of The Bachelor and its spin-offs, that suitor probably won't be Tyler Cameron.
Tyler finished as the season 15 runner-up, and has been dating up a storm in the week since The Bachelorette finale aired on July 30. After the finale, Tyler went on a date with Hannah (who broke off her engagement to Jed Wyatt), but since then he has been seen out with supermodel Gigi Hadid more than once. It's likely that this serial dating will affect his chances of becoming the next Bachelor.
Tyler hasn't been ruled out entirely, but Harrison says things don't look good for the model's prospects. "If Tyler is bouncing around from girl to girl and loving the life and enjoying the limelight... that's fine," the host told Entertainment Tonight on August 5. "If that's what you want to do right now, I don't blame him. He's probably enjoying life really, really well — but that's not someone we're going to want to have as our Bachelor or Bachelorette."
The two other men in the running are Peter Weber and Mike Johnson. According to TMZ, an inside source claims that Mike and Peter are currently the top picks while Tyler is "a distant third." The source claims that Tyler's ranking has less to do with his playboy ways, though, and more to do with a lack of focus. "The Bachelor has to really want to find love, and Tyler doesn't really have his heart in it and the audience can see through it," said the source.
Still, a final decision hasn't been made yet. Production of The Bachelor won't start for a couple of months, so Tyler still has time to prove that he's sincere about finding love. Harrison said we can expect the next Bachelor to be announced towards the end of season 6 of Bachelor in Paradise, which premiered on August 5.
