Who is the richest Real Housewives star?

The Real Housewives franchise has been airing on Bravo since The Real Housewives Of Orange County debuted in 2006, and the success of the show put The Real Housewives Of New York City and The Real Housewives Of Atlanta on the map shortly after in 2008 (via VH1). Since then, we've also seen housewives out of New Jersey, D.C., Beverly Hills, Miami, Dallas, and Potomac.

The series follows well-to-do, (sometimes) high-maintenance women and their everyday lives. Though many of the "housewives" have their own careers and make their own money, the women do spend much of their time in the spotlight gossiping, causing drama, and flaunting their considerable wealth. But you've probably wondered: Which one of these housewives is actually the richest?

There's plenty of wealth among the housewives

Although Kandi Burruss of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta is reportedly worth $35 million, and Shannon Beador of The Real Housewives Of Orange County is reportedly worth $20 million, it's Lisa Vanderpump of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills who takes the cake as the richest housewife in the franchise (via Money). With her restaurants, her participation in the Housewives franchise, and her second Bravo show Vanderpump Rules, the star is bringing in big money in comparison to the her castmates. Coming in a close second to Vanderpump are Kyle Richards, Carole Radziwill, and Dorit Kemsley, all of whom are reportedly worth $50 million, according to People

How did Lisa Vanderpump's make her money?

In her younger years, before RHOBH, Vanderpump was an actress and was even in an episode of Baywatch Nights. The British-born star has been on the reality show since 2010, which makes her one of the "longest-lasting cast members," according to Cheat Sheet, although season 9 did mark the end of her run (via Vulture).

She married Ken Todd in 1982 when she was just 21 years old, and the pair began opening restaurants and bars together in London. In 1998, they sold four of their bars for £10.5 million (via Bravo TV). Vanderpump manages the aesthetics of their restaurants and Ken works with things like licensing. The two both have a role in their money-making businesses. After more than 30 years of being married, the couple has owned more than 30 bars, clubs, and restaurants, including current hot spots Sur, Pump, and Tom Tom (via Refinery29).

Vanderpump has also authored a book, runs a non-profit, has a line of her own sangria and rose, and a business for luxury pet accessories.

How much is Lisa Vanderpump worth?

According to People, Vanderpump is reportedly worth $75 million. Each RHOBH season brought in a hefty $500,000 and, according to In Touch Weekly, she earns another $500,000 for each season of Vanderpump Rules, which she not only stars in but also produces.

Whether it's reality TV or restaurants and bars, Vanderpump clearly knows what she's doing — and if she's involved, you know it's going to be beautiful. "Make your environment as beautiful as you can because you'll feel so much better," she told Glamour. "I want to feel that I'm immersed in things of beauty. Authenticity and beauty combined make for a fabulous combination." At 59, Lisa Vanderpump is living large and living on top.
