Orlando Bloom's Relationship Soft Launch Feels Like A Pointed Dig At Ex Katy Perry & Justin Trudeau
Although there were many signs that the relationship between Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom was destined for failure, one culprit seems to consistently come out on top — Justin Trudeau. With Perry quickly moving on to dating the former Prime Minister of Canada, it seems that Bloom has been taking the breakup extra hard. However, in what appears to be an almost tit-for-tat series of Instagram posts, it seems that Bloom just might be soft-launching a new relationship, and possibly making sure that Perry notices. In a March 31 Instagram post, Bloom shows off a series of images with the caption, "love language lately." Notably, the second photo in the carousel reveals a delicate, feminine hand with a cute manicure holding up a flower.
Considering that all the other photos show off Bloom's hiking and traveling, it would be easy to connect the dots and assume that this mystery person was along for the ride. Not only that, but since the first photo in the carousel is of Bloom himself, shirtless on a hike, perhaps the second photo suggests who took the candid of him. It seems Bloom is hinting at spending quality time with someone, though not quite ready to reveal her. However, there is a level of shadiness to this post that could suggest Bloom still isn't over Perry.
Since Perry's quick attachment to Trudeau could be what soured her relationship with Bloom, there's a chance that "The Lord of the Rings" actor was trying to drag his ex and her new beau with his post. This theory gains traction when looking at both Bloom and Perry's posts side by side, as there are some stark similarities.

Just a few hours before Orlando Bloom made his Instagram post soft-launching his hiking buddy, his ex Katy Perry also made a post on Instagram. The post includes some selfies, proof that she and Justin Trudeau are having fun with friends, candid shots of spending time with her children, screenshots of her FaceTiming with someone, and a quote about love. For his part, Bloom's post includes essentially all of these things as well. Considering how intimate the relationship between Bloom and Perry was, it could simply be that they're two very similar people. However, since Bloom posted his shortly after Perry's, there's room to suggest he was trying to copy her for attention.
The strongest evidence for Bloom attempting to mimic Perry's post might be in the photos of quotes they both chose. In Perry's ninth image, she has a quote that reads in part, "I think the purest form of love is just wanting someone to notice life with you." For Bloom to so quickly make a post dedicated to love languages, it certainly suggests his eyes have pried on his ex's social media activity. Not only that, but the quote Bloom presented in his third photo, which is all about finding happiness on your own, also mentions that, "We each move forward secure on our own earth."
An unkind reading of this could be seen as a pointed dig at all the hate Perry got from her quick jaunt up to space. Regardless, there's plenty of evidence to suggest that the two are vagueposting in each other's direction, making their messy breakup somehow feel even more relatable.
