'Lonely' Tom Cruise Reportedly Upset By His Rocky Love Life After String Of Failed Relationships

The man who had women at "hello" onscreen has heard more than his share of goodbyes from women in his real-life relationships. Tom Cruise overcame the tragedies of his past to become one of the most successful actors of all time, and shows no sign of slowing down. Not only is Cruise aging like fine wine, he still insists on doing his own stunts in movies like the "Mission: Impossible" series. Yet his personal life has crashed and burned more often than an F-15 in "Top Gun," and reportedly, Cruise is bummed that he can't seem to find a lasting romance.

A source tells the Daily Mail, "Tom is frustrated that his love life has not been smooth because often he is lonely." They add that while the A-lister isn't "desperate" to be attached again, "I do know that Tom would love to get married again and have it last; he wants a solid relationship. Like anyone, he wants to be in love."

Cruise's last public relationship was with Ana de Armas, whom he met through mutual connections. Throughout much of 2025, the couple was spotted quietly enjoying outings in London and cruising on a yacht in Spain. But by the end of October, they split, with a source revealing to Us Weekly, "It was more Ana's decision because things were moving fast and she started to get a little uncomfortable." Though the insider added that there was a chance the two might reconnect, that seems less likely now. In the summer of 2026, de Armas was spotted getting quite cozy with Venezuelan music artist Beto Montenegro.

Cruise's exes are faring better in the romance department

Since his split from "Ballerina" star Ana de Armas, Tom Cruise has been decidedly single, save for a couple of rumored love interests. Reportedly, he connected with Pamela Anderson in the spring of 2026 as he praised her return to acting. A few months later, he was spotted escorting former girlfriend Elsina Khayrova to the Hollywood Walk of Fame induction ceremony for David Beckham. But as of now, there have been no signs of anything long-term, while most of Cruise's past wives and girlfriends have long since moved on.

In addition to de Armas's new love interest, Katie Holmes and Jason Bard Yarmosky are in a happy age-gap relationship. The pair are reportedly enjoying their time together before they take anything to the next level. Nicole Kidman is doing better than ever since her divorce from Keith Urban, and was recently spotted vacationing in Italy with Michael Reinstein, a private-equity investor. Meanwhile, Penélope Cruz, whom Cruise dated for three years, has been blissfully married to Javier Bardem since 2010.

Insiders tell the Daily Mail that the "Digger" superstar is happy for all of his exes, though in some cases — Cruz, in particular — regretful that he couldn't work things out with them. But it seems Cruise may never be ready for a full commitment until he's ready to ease up on his work. "Tom's main love is making movies, and that gets in the way of everything else that he does, whether it be relationships, friendships, or business plans," one confidant says. "To be in a relationship with Tom is something that many women either can't or don't want to handle."
