Kelly Osbourne Gave Total 'Princess Of Darkness' Vibes With This Bold Lip Look
Apparently the Osbourne doesn't fall far from the tree. It's abundantly clear that Kelly Osbourne hasn't been the same since the death of her dad. In July 2025, Black Sabbath lead vocalist Ozzy Osbourne died at the age of 76. Ozzy earned the nickname "The Prince of Darkness" thanks to his dark musical stylings and his fashion sense that matched. It's long been clear that Kelly took after her dad with her aesthetic.
Yet, in the wake of Ozzy's passing, comparing photos of Kelly to when she was young was sad to see. For some time, it seemed that the star had lost her spark. However, in an August 2026 Instagram Story, just a month after the one-year anniversary of Ozzy's passing, Kelly posed for a selfie with her young son looking a bit like her old self again.
In the snapshot, Kelly wore funky, spiky dark sunglasses with red lenses that we could easily imagine Ozzy sporting. She also donned a stunning dark brown, matte lip color that fit in perfectly with her usual edgy style while also looking on-trend and sophisticated. (It paired nicely with her dark hair too.) Ozzy's daughter proved that she'll forever honor her dad's style with this special makeup look.
Ozzy's love of makeup clearly rubbed off on Kelly
This brown lipstick moment certainly wasn't among Kelly Osbourne's most drastic makeup looks over the years. Yet, it still fit in with her dark, rock-inspired, Osbourne-y style. Kelly hasn't been one to play it safe with her beauty routine. She's experimented with her hair color and makeup looks countless times since arriving in the public eye. In fact, she and her mother, Sharon Osbourne, even launched their own line with MAC Cosmetics in 2014. That was a full circle moment for Kelly, who told Huffpost that year, "When I was 13, my mom took me to MAC and got me a makeup lesson where I picked out a concealer, a blush, a powder and a mascara." She added, though, "That was all I was allowed to wear because my father didn't like it." Kelly reminisced about being a child and putting makeup on a doll, but getting scolded for wearing it herself: " ... I remember my dad saying, 'No child of mine will be wearing makeup at your age!'"
It's interesting that Kelly said, "He doesn't like when I wear 'too much makeup,' as he calls it," considering Ozzy Osbourne's own love of makeup and how much his daughter's taste mirrored his own. She explained, "My dad is the king of eyeliner. ... But he has always taught me that less is more." Whether he liked it or not, Ozzy taught Kelly a lot about makeup, and it's clearly stuck with her to this day.
