Prince Archie Is Dad Harry's Mini-Me In Pics Of Them Practicing Their Shared Hobby
In September 2026, Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, held his first birthday celebration in the U.K. since he and Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, stepped away from their royal duties. The duke kept the celebration simple by meeting friends for lunch, according to an insider for Hello! Emily Nash, a royal editor for the outlet, said, "He's wanted to be back here for a long time and will be making the most of being closer to friends and family." However, this didn't stop Meghan from showering him with love online.
The duchess created an Instagram Reel of photos with Harry by himself, with her, or with the kids. The caption read, "He's simply the best. Happy birthday, my love," followed by a red heart emoji. A photo from the reel showing Harry and their son Prince Archie sharing a special moment at a hobby they both seem to enjoy stood out to viewers because of how strong their resemblance is.

The father and son were practicing archery with their backs facing the camera. Archie has red hair just like his dad, and his nearly identical outfit — minus the color of the cargo shorts — highlighted just how much they look alike. One user on X posted a screenshot of the precious moment and wrote, "Prince Archie is his dad's twin omg! They're so cute I can't." Another user called the younger Windsor a "carbon copy" of his dad.
Archie's pretty good at skiing like his dad
It's not surprising that Prince Archie Mountbatten-Windsor's hair color reminds everyone of his father, Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex. Archie having a different, more private childhood than other royals can make it difficult to tell if he looks exactly like his dad at that age — the recent photos we've seen don't show his face — but the young prince might grow up to be even more similar to Harry as they bond over athletic hobbies.
Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, shared an Instagram reel of Prince Harry and Prince Archie skiing in April 2026. At just 6 years old, Archie smoothly maneuvered his way downhill, and he caught up to his father by the end of the video.
A Sussex fan reposted Meghan's video on X, and netizens gushed over how similar Archie and Harry are in the replies. One user wrote, "Like father, like son!! Prince Archie is a natural athlete just like Prince Harry." Other replies pointed out that Harry is replicating his childhood ski trips with his mom, Princess Diana. "Awww skiing with his babies must always feel so special to Harry, with so many memories of him skiing with Diana," a sentimental fan said. "I love that he gets to make memories like these with his beautiful family. They truly live in a paradise!"
