How Christina Anstead Really Feels About Tarek El Moussa's Engagement

They found fame working side by side on the hit home renovation show Flip or Flop. And, when their marriage ended, Christina Anstead and Tarek El Moussa bucked convention in a major way by not only continuing to work together, but by maintaining a loving, respectful relationship as co-parents for the sake of their children. It's not surprising, considering everything they've been through together, in particular El Moussa's cancer scare, but their very modern approach to divorced life continues to impress.

When Anstead found love again with British TV star Ant Anstead, El Moussa went on record — against his publicists' advice, no less — to shoot down rumors he was "devastated" his ex had moved on with somebody new. As reported by House Beautiful at the time, the reality star advised in an Instagram Story, "I am actually happy for her. I think it's a great thing, I think they get along well. And most importantly it's good for my children." Now, with El Moussa getting engaged to his latest paramour, it seems it's Anstead's turn to show solidarity with her ex.

Christina Anstead is fully supportive of Tarek El Moussa

Flip or Flop is heading into its ninth season, so clearly things between Anstead and El Moussa continue to be fine, but an engagement of an ex can rock even the strongest person to their core. Thankfully, Anstead followed in her ex-husband's footsteps by wishing him and his new fiance all the luck in the world. El Moussa proposed to Selling Sunset star Heather Rae Young last month, close to their first anniversary, according to Screen Rant. And Anstead is all for it.

"I couldn't be happier for them," she gushed to E! News, adding simply, "They're very happy." Her own hubby also showed his support, commenting, "Congratulations you two!! (What took you so long)," on HGTV's announcement on Instagram. It's worth noting Young has no issue with her man continuing to work with his ex-wife either, telling Radar Online, "I'm a really confident person, and I'm confident in our relationship." As she explained, "I think what he does and everything he has going is so amazing, and I'm fully supportive of everything."

It seems everybody is on board with making life for this uniquely blended family as normal as possible.
