Mandy Moore's Home Is Absolutely Gorgeous

Everyone has been in love with Mandy Moore since her debut in the 1990s. But there's one more thing to fall in love with: Her house is to die for. Moore and her fiancé, Taylor Goldsmith, also fell instantly in love with the stunning 1950s Pasadena home, designed by Harold B. Zook and valued at $2.6 million. "We fell in love with the views, the pool, the yard, basically the whole energy of the place," Moore said in an interview with Architectural Digest.

When they started to design, they wanted nothing in the house to seem too formal and wanted to capture the original spirit of the mid-century home. Moore shared, "We wanted to recapture the home's original spirit without delving into a slavish period restoration. We tried to imagine what Zook would have done if he were designing it today." And quite frankly, Zook would swoon over how it looks now.

She based the house on the original layout from the 1950s

In Mandy Moore's home tour for Architectural Digest, we begin with the gorgeous, open-concept living room where she shows us the original brick and copper hanging. Speaking of the copper hanging, Moore says it inspired the home's decor, such as the floor inlay and the period furniture. The house is covered in retro, comfy furniture pieces from brands like Anthropologie, CB2, Cedar & Moss, and Aquatica. Since they're a musical couple, they have a grand piano and record player to keep the comfy vibe in the living room.

Next, Moore takes us into the dining room, where she confides that she never had a formal dining room before this. The gorgeous room has a wooden table, a bar cart full of scotch, and a Lou Morra painting. Along with that, the couple worked with designer Sarah Sherman Samuel on everything in the house, one of which being new white terrazzo floors. Moore went on to say, "Terrazzo is a dying art, costly and laborious, but so worth it."

She has skylights throughout the home to keep an open vibe

Then we go into the crazy beautiful kitchen, decked out with a marble, waterfall island designed by Emily Farnum. The kitchen also has a skylight, open shelves, and everything anyone could ever want in a kitchen. After the kitchen, you can go straight outside into a sitting area, overlooking a beautiful mountain scene.

On top of a living room, they also have a family room with more retro furniture, large windows, and a gorgeous bench. Moore went on to say that her team hand-laid aggregate into the bench to give it a beautiful new aspect to the room. They also have a plasma TV that shows a new piece of art every month. After going through the family room, the This Is Us star welcomes us into the little hallway with skylights, built-in benches, and bookshelves.

Probably the most beautiful part of the home, though, is the master bedroom. We first see a custom, velvet, forest green bed frame that hugs around the wall. On two other walls are giant windows overlooking the pool, sycamore tree, and mountains in Pasadena.
