What We Know About Katherine Schwarzenegger And Chris Pratt's Baby No. 2
Last year Katherine Schwarzenegger and Chris Pratt welcomed their first child together. Schwarzenegger gave birth to their daughter Lyla Marie in August of 2020 (via Page Six). Lyla Marie's mom reflected on the "magical" time they've spent together as a family in a sweet post on Instagram marking the baby's first birthday. "I watch my little girl in awe as she grows and changes — moving from infant to baby to now the toddler phase," Schwarzenegger admitted. "Clearly, I have fully embraced the mommy and me matching moments, the girly outfits, the bows and the wonderful things my mom saved for me to pass on to her."
Pratt, who is a father to both Lyla Marie and his 9-year-old son Jack (who he shares with ex-wife Anna Faris), has expressed an interest in welcoming even more children into his family. This summer he told E! that he'd "love" more kids. How many more? His answer was somewhat open-ended: "As many as the man upstairs will provide" (via People). He also opened up about how it feels to be a parent. "The high common denominator is just kind of this unquenchable desire to want to be close to them, be next to them, to protect them and love them. It's the best."
Now it appears that the happy family is one step closer to expanding. At least if you believe the rumor mill...
Katherine Schwarzenegger is reportedly pregnant with her second child
Chris Pratt wanted to expand his family with Katherine Schwarzenegger, and it looks like his wish has come true. According to People, several sources revealed to them that Schwarzenegger is pregnant with the couple's second child. Thus far, neither Pratt nor Schwarzenegger have seemingly confirmed the news. However, reps for both did not deny it when approached for comment by People. After the story broke, it was picked up by other publications including The Cut.
Since nothing is official yet, it is unclear how far along the mom-to-be is in her rumored pregnancy. Schwarzenegger was spotted out and about alongside Pratt's eldest child Jack earlier this week. Dressed in a pair of black overalls, the Daily Mail commented on what appears to be the start of a baby bump.
We'll have to wait to learn more about the baby. However, if nothing else we can say with confidence that it will be welcomed into a happy family. Pratt took to Instagram to wish his wife a happy birthday earlier this week. "You are such a wonderful wife, mother, step-mother, and life partner. I simply can't imagine how lost I'd be without you," he wrote. "We fit so perfectly into each other's lives that our Union is a daily reminder that God is looking out for us."
