If You're An Aquarius, This Is The House Plant You Should Get

If you've ever looked into your star sign, you'll know that it doesn't read you the future. Instead, it will point you in the right direction based off your personality, meaning zodiac signs are a great way to know yourself better. Whether that's how to dress or be the best plant mom, you can learn a whole lot about yourself. If you're looking into the latter, you can also find out exactly which plant will do best on your shelf. If you're an Aquarius, this means more time doing social justice work and less time trying to figure out why your plants keep dying.

An Aquarius is a person of many passions. They love jumping from passion project to passion project, so it only makes sense that one of them would be plants. While they're not exactly the best planners, they do love figuring out things as they go. That means that there's a good chance that there's more than one dead houseplant sitting somewhere on your shelf. Fear not! That doesn't mean you're not a good plant parent. You just haven't found the perfect plant for you yet.

When it comes down to it, there are two plants that are best for Aquarians — Pothos and ZZ Plant. Oh, and there's a reason that these are two of the most low-maintenance plants out there.

Aquarius need low-maintenance plants

If you've had some problem keeping plants alive as an Aquarius, it isn't you. It's your start sign. An Aquarius is a visionary and multitasker. You can get a bit obsessed with one thing, meaning that you'll likely forget about the rest of the world for a while. That also includes your plants, unfortunately. So it's best to find a plant that's easy to maintain. In comes the Pothos and the ZZ Plant.

According to Proflowers, an Aquarius' humanitarian heart and need to make the world a better place is what makes the Pothos plant the one for them. Not only is the Pothos plant extremely easy to take care of — you only need to water it once every one or two weeks — it also is an air-purifying plant so it brings more than just beauty into the world. That's a win-win for everyone involved.

Another great and easy to maintain plant is the ZZ Plant. Similar to the Pothos plant, this one only needs watered every two to three weeks. It also grows to 3 feet on its own, meaning you'll be able to look over and visually see the work you've put in. The plant is also great for an Aquarius, according to Better Homes & Gardens, because it can grow in low or bright light, meaning you can put it whenever your creative eye deems fit.

All in all, stick with these low-maintenance plants and your big Aquarius heart can't go wrong.
