The Real-Life Partners Of Hallmark Channel Stars

There is simply nothing more comforting than sitting back, relaxing, and throwing on a romantic film or series from the Hallmark Channel — especially during the holiday season. Sometimes all you want to do is grab a hot chocolate and watch two people fall in love and kiss under a mistletoe, and that is totally okay. We've all been there. The Hallmark Channel is known for producing incredible original movies, such as "Christmas Under Wraps," "The Lost Valentine," and "A Country Wedding." The Hallmark Channel is basically must-watch television.

If you are a hopeless romantic like us, then you may have wondered if any Hallmark actors have fallen in love in real life too. If you didn't already know, some of them have dated, gotten married, and even had babies. Let us tell you, some of their stories are equally as romantic as the films in which we've seen them. Here are the real-life partners of your favorite Hallmark Channel stars.

Victor Webster and Shantel VanSanten had three weddings

Once upon a time, Hallmark Channel stars Shantel VanSanten and Victor Webster were a Hallmark Channel power couple. After meeting on the set of the 2017 Hallmark film "Love Blossoms," in which they played love interests, the pair dated for four years before getting engaged in February 2021.

The pair celebrated their love with not one, but three dreamy weddings. The first was a small, spontaneous civil ceremony at Pasadena City Hall in California on VanSanten's grandparents' wedding anniversary, August 9, after her grandfather unexpectedly died. In an interview with Brides, VanSanten described her decision to marry that day, noting that her grandfather was originally set to walk her down the aisle. "The idea of my grandparents being reunited and watching over our ceremony from above gave me some peace," she stated. "They were married for 63 years [and] had such a special, deep love. They were the example to me of how love is a choice and takes work. It wasn't perfect, but their love was always pure." Their second wedding ceremony was held two months later in Napa, and the third took place in VanSanten's hometown, Luverne, Minnesota.

Alas, the three-wedding fairytale came to an end. In 2023, VanSanten and Webster announced they'd split up. The divorce was finalized the following July.

Carlos and Alexa PenaVega have a sweet love story

Carlos and Alexa PenaVega's love story is like a real-life Hallmark movie. However, the pair didn't meet on a Hallmark set, but at a Bible study group in Los Angeles. They were engaged by September 2013, and in January 2014, the Hallmark stars were officially married. The pair had a luxurious destination wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. It wasn't until they were signing paperwork that Alexa Vega and Carlos Pena decided they were going to legally combine their last names. "We were literally at the county office in Ventura signing all the paperwork and the woman was like, 'Whose last name?'" Carlos told People. "I said, 'Let's see if this works. Carlos and Alexa PenaVega. Just one word.'"

In December 2016, the pair welcomed their first son, Ocean, and later their second son, Kingston, in June 2019. In 2021, the family added a third child, a daughter named Rio Rey.

The PenaVegas are well-known actors in the industry, but their dance skills are also top notch. The pair competed against one another on "Dancing With the Stars" in 2015. However, neither of them took home the trophy. They've also gotten to work on multiple Hallmark films together — including "Love at Sea," which was filmed on an actual cruise ship.

Patti Murin and Colin Donnell are couple goals

The theater couple of our dreams. Patti Murin and Colin Donnell met through a mutual friend and knew each other for eight years before they started dating. They were then co-stars in the musical adaptation of William Shakespeare's "Love's Labour's Lost," and not before too long, they were an item. Murin and Donnell have been in a number of shows and other projects together, including Hallmark Movies & Mysteries film "To Catch a Spy," but have never actually played love interests on camera. "You know surprisingly, it actually doesn't really happen all that often in theater or TV," Donnell exclusively told People in 2021. "It just hasn't worked out that way."

The couple married in 2015. On July 14, 2020, they welcomed their first daughter, Cecily Philips Ruth Donnell, into the world. Murin captioned her Instagram post of the big announcement, "Meet Cecily Philips Donnell, born on July 14th. She's strong as heck and ready to change the world, and we have never loved anything more in our lives." Their second daughter, Lorelai Grace, was born on April 2, 2023.

Daniel Stine knew Rachel Hendrix before they were featured in a Hallmark movie together

If you are an active Hallmark movie watcher and a sucker for a good romantic comedy, then you know that Daniel Stine and Rachel Hendrix put on an incredible performance in the 2019 film "Midway to Love." If you haven't seen the movie, Stine and Hendrix play high school sweethearts who fall back in love all over again after several years apart from one another. However, this wasn't the first time the couple worked together on set.

Daniel Stine, who is also a writer, producer, and director, made his film directorial debut with "Virginia Minnesota." Hendrix played the leading lady of the film, and the two reportedly first met on set. The couple got married, though not too much is known about their relationship as they have kept their personal life pretty private.

Eric Winter and Roselyn Sanchez were married before they worked together on a Hallmark film

Eric Winter and Roselyn Sánchez were actually married way before they starred in a Hallmark film together. Winter popped the question in December 2007 in Puerto Rico while they were kayaking together in the middle of the night — which sounds very romantic, but also terrifying at the same time. "I was petrified she would drop the ring," he told InStyle (via People). "It never left the box. She accepted; I shut the box and told her she could see it again on land."

One year later, the pair exchanged vows with a four-day wedding celebration in November 2008 in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. A few years later, the couple welcomed their first baby girl into the world, Sebella, and eventually, a baby boy named Dylan in 2017. After having a daughter, the family of three was excited to add a boy into their home. "I was shocked my first baby was a girl. But the most important thing was I wanted to have a healthy baby. I was over the moon when I found out it was a boy," Sánchez told Us Weekly

It wasn't until 2019 that the couple brought their romance to the small screen, starring in the Hallmark film "A Taste of Summer," which was part of the channel's annual "Summer Nights" slate of movies. This marked Sánchez's first Hallmark film and Winter's fourth.

Lacey Chabert and David Nehdar have kept their relationship private

Hallmark Channel star Lacey Chabert is happily married to David Nehdar. While Chabert has spent the bulk of her life in the public eye, her other half prefers to steer clear of the spotlight.

In 2014, the couple said "I do" with a private wedding celebration. "I wanted it to be personal. He's not in the business and we like our privacy, and I just think relationships are hard enough without the opinion of strangers. So we try to keep it as personal and private as possible," Chabert told People. Between dresses not arriving on time to her shoe breaking and other things somehow going wrong, the actress described the big day by saying, "It was perfect chaos."

In 2016, the actor announced that she was pregnant in a tweet. "Kitty doesn't seem as excited as we are about this ... I'm pregnant!!!! My husband and I are thrilled & so thankful," she wrote alongside a photo of her dog. Chabert and Nehdar welcomed their daughter, Julia Mimi Bella, in 2017.

Taylor Cole married Cameron Larson during the pandemic

The coronavirus pandemic put a wrench in Taylor Cole and producer Cameron Larson's wedding plans. Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a celebration of their love with over 100 guests ended up being a small, intimate ceremony. The June 2020 nuptials included only the bride, groom, a few family members, and the officiant.

Rather than rescheduling their wedding day, the couple, who met on the set of a Hallmark Channel movie, decided they couldn't put off getting married any longer. "We couldn't wait — we were too excited to profess our love and commit to each other. It sounds a little cheesy, but when you know you know, and we wanted our forever to start as soon as possible," Cole told People

Although their wedding day wasn't exactly how they imagined it would be, the couple still found different ways to make it special. Not only did they have the entire ceremony livestreamed online so their friends and family could celebrate, but Cole even got walked down the aisle by her father virtually. How, you may ask? Well, she attached a phone to her arm and had her dad on a FaceTime call. "Luckily, it worked well and several of our virtual guests commented how sweet that moment was for them — as it was for all of us," Cole said.

Greene was previously married before his engagement to Austin and is a father to son Olivier, whom he shares with ex-wife Angi Greene Fletcher.

Candace Cameron Bure opened up in an Instagram post about the night she first met her husband at a hockey game in 1994. "In light of our 25th wedding anniversary, I did some internet digging. The first photo is the night I was introduced and met my future husband, Valeri Bure. This photo was taken in 1994 at the Luc Robitaille charity hockey game [Coulier] invited [Bob Saget], Lori Loughlin and me to," she wrote alongside a few photos of the night in question.

The pair got married in 1996, and they have been together ever since. Two years later, they welcomed their first daughter Natasha in 1998, son Lev in 2000, and son Maksim in 2002. In another Instagram post celebrating the milestone in their relationship, Bure opened up about the "secret" to a successful marriage. "Grace. Grace. Grace. Communication (which is so important but difficult when one partner isn't willing.) Sex. Laughter. Patience. Lots of patience. Love (a verb. which must be put into action, it's not just a feeling)," she said.

Jen Lilley and husband Jason Wayne have been busy growing their family

Hallmark Channel actress Jen Lilley and husband Jason Wayne's family keeps growing and growing. The "Mingle All the Way" actress met Wayne back in 2004 and they tied the knot in 2007.

That same year, Lilley welcomed her first biological child, daughter Julie Evangeline, on July 30. One year after that in October 2020, they adopted their second son, Kayden's half-brother Jeffrey, who was also in foster care for over 800 days. In her aforementioned Instagram post, Wagner praised Lemanowicz for staying so calm during her difficult delivery experience. "When I had complications after labor I know it was scary for you," she wrote. "How did you hold it all in? You never broke. You were a rock. My rock. Chad Michael Murray tied the knot with Sarah Roemer and became a father

Early 2000s heartthrob Chad Michael Murray is off the market — and he's a dad. After ending his marriage with fellow "One Tree Hill" co-star Sophia Bush in 2006, Murray began dating Sarah Roemer following their meeting on the set of the Crackle series "Chosen" in 2014. The pair officially tied the knot by January 2015. To the publication, he explained why he keeps his personal life out of the spotlight. "I'm a romantic. I'm a family guy. I want that core," Murray told E! News. "I tend to keep everything quiet. I love my life. That's the part that I keep for myself."

A few months later, the couple welcomed their son into the world, and in March 2017, they had a baby girl. In 2023, they added a third child, another girl, to their brood.

Hallmark's Chris McNally and Julie Gonzalo met on set

Chris McNally and Julie Gonzalo are quite the couple. The actors first met in 2017 while filming the Hallmark romance "The Sweetest Heart," and McNally made quite the impression on Gonzalo. "He's such a wonderful, wonderful person and a terrific actor," Gonzalo told FanSided back in 2018. The feeling was clearly mutual, and later that year, the pair even adopted dogs together. In an interview with Media From the Heart, McNally spoke about Gonzalo and their then-recent additions. "My girlfriend and I each adopted a puppy, so I'm looking forward to being home with them when I can."

Despite the couple's Hallmark romance, McNally and Gonzalo have kept parts of their romance pretty private. So naturally, some of their fans were shocked when the duo announced that they'd welcomed a baby into the world on June 5, 2022. The "Supergirl" star shared the news on Instagram with a photo showing off the newborn's tiny hand. "Our hearts are full," Gonzalo wrote before adding, "Welcome baby M."

According to People, the pair had been so secretive about their newest family addition that even friends and former co-stars were delightfully surprised by the announcement. Some of the commentators offering congratulations on the pair's post included Justin Long and Rachael Leigh Cook.

Kevin McGarry and Kayla Wallace are a real-life Hallmark couple

Kevin McGarry and Kayla Wallace are more than just co-stars in Hallmark's "When Calls the Heart." According to Entertainment Tonight, rumors of the two dating began circulating in 2020 when McGarry shared a photo showing two coffee mugs and Polaroid snaps of the pair along with the caption "Photo evidence." Still, a source reportedly told ET that the gossip about McGarry and Wallace was more than speculation — it was true.

After it was revealed that the actors were indeed an item, McGarry and Wallace became more open about their relationship, even posting about their love on social media. For example, Wallace took to her Instagram Stories to share some photos of McGarry on his birthday, which show the actor making a funny face as he stares at his birthday treat (via Heavy). Wallace also shared an ultra sweet holiday photo of the couple for Christmas with a picture of the duo inside a heart-shaped ornament. "The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear," she captioned the image. One sweet short clip — in which McGarry appears at the end to shower the "Heatwave" actor in kisses — even calls McGarry one of the five things she loves most.

Kavan Smith and his wife Corinne Clark keep a low profile

While some celebrities embrace having all eyes on them, other stars prefer to keep parts of their personal lives private. This definitely seems to be the case for married couple Kavan Smith and Corinne Clark. Smith is a Canadian actor who gained notoriety thanks to his work in "Stargate: Atlantis," "Eureka," "Rogue," and "Love on the Menu." More recently, he's earned attention for playing Leland Coulter in Hallmark's "When Calls the Heart." His wife, Clark, is a Canadian casting director who's been a part of well-known projects like "Blade: The Series," "Unspeakable," "Deadpool," and "Lucifer."

The couple is ultra-private regarding their relationship. Still, despite the pair's lack of activity on social media, there's some evidence of their relationship for those willing to sleuth. For example, in 2017, Smith tweeted a photo of a dinner plate amid a scenic backdrop and wrote, "My wife's birthday dinner."

Evidently, Smith is quite the cook. As he told Parade in 2018, "My wife has a few favorites of mine that she'll request and I think she probably asks for risotto more than anything else. I make a mean risotto." He also noted that their two sons, who've stayed out of the spotlight, keep him humble. "I made chocolate pudding one time using buttermilk. I don't know what I was thinking. ... My kids will never let me forget the pudding," he said.

He continued, writing, "There is no one I consider braver, stronger, more Fearless." Elliott also revealed that his partner hadn't lost hope even after undergoing numerous surgeries and rounds of chemo. Though he admitted to being a very private person, he was optimistic that sharing Row's story could help others in similar situations.

In June 2024, Row underwent surgery to have a mass removed from her abdomen. Three months later, Elliott celebrated their 13th year of marriage with an Instagram post. "As our fight continues I am truly blessed to be given the responsibilities of being by your side thru it all. #happyanniversary babe and to many many more!" he wrote (via Soaps.com). "Now finish up chemo today my warrior queen and get home soon so I can give u a big hug and [kiss emoji]."

"His dad and my mom play the violin for feature film soundtracks, so we've actually known each other our whole lives, " the actor said. Since then, the pair has grown their family.

As of this writing, the couple has three children: two sons, Gatsby and Hemingway, and a daughter named Juniper. Both appear to really love being parents, and in an interview with Parents Canada, the Hallmark actor gushed about spending time with his kids. "I love the unconditional love in their eyes when I get home from work or pick them up," he said.

The happy family has chosen to relocate to Canada to create their dream home in a cozy mountain town, but they still frequently share plenty of photos for their curious fans. For example, in 2021, Myers shared a photo on Instagram of one of their sons and praised her partner's parenting skills. "Watching you be a dad has been one of the greatest joys of my life," she wrote. In June 2022, Myers shared a compilation of family images on her Instagram feed and openly expressed missing her husband while he was away. "It's more clear now than ever just how important you are to our family," she wrote.

Alvina August and Marco Grazzini are Hallmark stars in love

Alvina August and Marco Grazzini have both starred in several Hallmark films, but they didn't fall in love on set or at a studio. Instead, they crossed paths in a more modern fashion: on a dating app. On Hallmark's "Bubbly Sesh" podcast, August revealed that Grazzini had popped up in her Tinder feed. She had initially created an account to promote her career as a musician, but when she started chatting with Grazzini, she was hooked. "We had an eight-hour first date playing table tennis. And then we had three more that same week — the next day, and the next day. And they just got longer and longer." Soon enough, August and Grazzini were spending all their time together.

In January 2019, Grazzini proposed to August. She commemorated the occasion with an Instagram post a year later. She captioned the engagement photo of the couple with a heartfelt message: "You liked it, you put a ring on it & made me your Bey-ancé, confirming everything I had already believed about you & where we were headed. There is nowhere else I would rather be. God blessed me with my best friend, my lover, creator of the most exquisite food, chef Marco, my business and life partner all in one package. I love you. Ok, let's find some time to plan a wedding soon." In 2023, August and Grazzini welcomed their first child into the world, a sweet baby girl.

After the big day, Parrish took to Instagram to post a picture of the couple kissing while locked in an embrace. "Rehearsal dinner photo. But today ... I married him. Jodie Sweetin's heart is full for Mescal Wasilewski

After three divorces, Jodie Sweetin, a Hallmark staple who first found stardom as Stephanie Tanner on "Full House," has found lasting love in social worker Mescal Wasilewski. The two tied the knot in 2022 with a small ceremony in Malibu. "I know I have the right partner for the rest of whatever life brings me," Sweetin told People in an interview.

Sweetin and Wasilewski met in 2017 through mutual friends. Although they were located on opposite sides of the country at that point — Sweetin in Los Angeles, Wasilewski in New York — their connection was so strong that they vowed to make it work. Ultimately, their love stood the tests of time and distance, and they decided to put a ring on it. Sweetin absolutely gushed over Wasilewski in her People interview: "Mescal makes me feel absolutely comfortable and secure to shine as bright as I need to," she said. She noted that he has built a strong relationship with her daughters: "He steps up and shows up for my girls. ... He's really the best teammate I could ask for."

In July 2023, Wasilewski shared a heartfelt anniversary tribute to Sweetin on Instagram. "One year ago I solidified a commitment to sharing a life with someone who makes me understand what life can be when you let someone in," he wrote. Nikki DeLoach and Ryan Goodell sing the same tune

Hallmark veteran Nikki DeLoach has enjoyed a real-life fairytale romance with her husband Ryan Goodell. Goodell was a member of boy band Take 5 when DeLoach met him in 1999. Nearly 25 years later, they're still singing the same tune. The two tied the knot in 2009. They went on to have two sons together, Hudson and Bennett.

DeLoach regularly shares her love for Goodell on her Instagram page. In September 2015, she opened up about her feelings for him via an anniversary post. "Yesterday, six years ago, I married this handsome man. Best life decision ever," she wrote. "Happy Anniversary babe. I'm in love with this beautiful life we've built together. And after 16 years together (yes ... 16), I'm still in love with you."

In 2019, DeLoach opened up to Parade about her approach to romance. It turns out that the dating game was never particularly thrilling to her. "I believe that love is something that grows, I do. I also, by the way, was never a person who enjoyed dating. For me, I was more of a let-me-get-to-know-you-a-little-bit person and then maybe let's go get dinner. Let's hang out a little bit, let's talk about each other's lives ... then maybe you and I can go to a movie or something like that." Although she didn't elaborate on how she and Goodell met, we can assume that their relationship blossomed slowly but steadily.

Holly Robinson Peete and Rodney Peete are an all-star couple

Holly Robinson Peete's husband Rodney Peete is a true all-star — he's a veteran NFL quarterback, having played for various teams over the course of 16 seasons. Both Holly and Rodney are real MVPs when it comes to sustaining a happy relationship — they've been married since 1995.

"For us, the glue, the secret sauce has been trying to stay on the same page. Continuing to communicate with each other and then Holly's willingness to talk to a therapist or marriage counselor has been key, key, key," Holly told Essence when the couple sat down for an interview with the magazine in March 2023. Rodney chimed in: "We both had similar ideas of what we wanted for our lives, separately and collectively, and we talked about it. ... We talked about the journey and what it was going to be and how it was going to be and how to handle certain things that would come up in our lives along the way. We found ourselves getting on the same page before we got married."

Holly and Rodney both have big hearts: together, they run the HollyRod Foundation, a California-based nonprofit that aims to support families caring for individuals with autism or Parkinson's disease. The foundation works to raise awareness of and secure ethical treatment for those with autism and those with Parkinson's. It also provides resources to families dealing with an autism or Parkinson's diagnosis.

Cameron Mathison and Vanessa Arevalo's marriage ended after 22 years

In 2002, actor Cameron Mathison married model and clothing designer Vanessa Mathison (née Arevalo). They share two children: Leila Emmanuelle and Lucas Arthur. When the pair first met, Vanessa was also trying her hand at acting. "[O]ne of Cameron's cheesy lines — I would always tease him about this — was, 'Well, if you ever want to run lines, you can come over and we can run lines together,'" she revealed in a 2022 interview with Entertainment Tonight. It turns out that, years later, they would share the screen together on an episode of "General Hospital." Vanessa was comfortable guest starring on her husband's show due to his supportive presence. "We locked eyes, and I did not want to stop looking into Cameron's eyes because he was just my safe space," she said.

In that same interview, Cameron reflected on their 20 years of marriage. "Getting through those times, and getting to call Vanessa my best friend and fully enjoy every moment together, it's been better than I could have ever imagined marriage being for me," he said.

Alas, just two years later, it would all come to an end. In 2024, Cameron and Vanessa Mathison announced their separation. "After 22 years of marriage, we have made the difficult decision to part ways," Cameron shared on Instagram. "We enter this new chapter with deep love, kindness, and respect for each other."

Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli have stuck it out through thick and thin

Another "Full House" star who's enjoyed working with the Hallmark Channel in recent years is Lori Loughlin. Love is no foreign subject to the TV veteran; Loughlin has married toith husband Mossimo Giannulli since 1997. She shared the story of their elopement with Entertainment Tonight in a 2018 interview. "Moss and I had both been married before, so we thought, 'Well, it didn't really work out well for us the first time around, so maybe we'll elope and see how it goes and tell people.' We had talked about doing a wedding and we just thought, let's get up and let's go do it.'" Obviously, it turned out well. "He's my guy, he's my person," she said.

Loughlin and Giannulli landed in hot water in 2020, when they were involved in the college admissions scandal known as "Operation Varsity Blues." In order to secure their daughters' spots at the University of South California, they falsified information to make it appear as if they were crew recruits. They also paid large bribes disguised as charitable donations to sham foundations. They both received prison sentences — Loughlin got two months behind bars, while Giannulli got five.

The couple managed to stay strong even after their prison stints. In December 2022, they seemed in good spirits on a vacation to a ski resort in Aspen, Colorado. They were spotted shopping at Louis Vuitton, bundled up in winter gear amid the snow.

Merritt Patterson and JR Ringer had a lavish wedding

Merritt Patterson has starred in several Hallmark films since her debut in "A Royal Winter." In real life, she's found her perfect man in talent agent J.R. Ringer. She announced their engagement on August 12, 2021, by posting a beautiful black and white portrait of the two on Instagram, captioned simply with the date and a white heart emoji. On September 17, 2022, she celebrated their wedding with another Instagram post, this one showing a slideshow of their special day. "Cheers to you love," she wrote in the caption. "My heart could burst."

Patterson opened up to blog Over the Moon about her fairy-tale wedding in May 2023. The couple exchanged vows at Masseria San Giovanni, a private estate in Puglia, Italy. The country holds a special significance to them — it served as the destination for their first international trip together. "You can't go wrong in Italy! The people, the food, the landscape — everything is incredible," Patterson said.

Patterson wore the Ophelia dress by Rita Vinieris. She paired it with a long veil and custom tulle gloves, hoping to channel Old Hollywood style. Ringer also wore a custom item — shoes with the couple's initials and wedding date engraved on the soles. They shared original vows during the ceremony. "Having your family and friends surrounding you and your partner while you reflect on the journey thus far and make promises for a bright loving future is such a powerful moment," Patterson reminisced.

Jonathan Bennett and Jaymes Vaughan had a one-of-a-kind proposal

Jonathan Bennett, a heartthrob in "Mean Girls" and on the Hallmark Channel, experienced a one-of-a-kind proposal from TV host husband Jaymes Vaughan in November 2020. Not only did Vaughan write Bennett his own song — he also teamed up with Kay Jewelry to design a custom engagement ring for him, noting the lack of options for LGBTQ+ couples on the market. "When you think about proposing ... you go through planning a million different ways in your head and looking for a ring for months and months until you find the right one," Bennett told Brides magazine in an interview. "Well, I was looking for rings, and I couldn't find anything that spoke to a tradition of what do you do when two men are in love?"

Bennett took to Instagram to post a video of the magical moment. It begins with Vaughan holding a homemade poster that reads, "We never did find our song." When he flips it over, revealing the message, "So I wrote it for you," Bennett bursts into tears of joy as Vaughan's romantic ode starts to play. "To say it was the best day of my life would be an understatement," Bennett gushed in his caption. "I thought we were shooting family Christmas photos only to walk [out] and see the man I love holding a sign, and at that moment (you can see on my face) I realize that forever begins right now." The pair married at a resort in Mexico in 2022.

Tamera Mowry and Adam Housley were set up by their professor

Tamera Mowry is known for acting alongside her twin on "Sister, Sister" as well as starring in Hallmark romances. Her husband, Adam Housley, is also familiar with the spotlight as a former Fox News correspondent. Believe it or not, though, he didn't realize Mowry was a celebrity when he first saw her face. "I had no idea who the heck she was, I just thought he was pretty," he told Yahoo! Life in 2018.

Housley was a student at Pepperdine when he saw a picture of Mowry in a professor's photo display of pupils. "Tia was on the wall too, my twin, but he pointed to my picture," Mowry noted. When the professor told Mowry about the encounter, she asked him to give Housley her email. She initially planned on rejecting Housley — but when she read the heartfelt message he had composed for her, she changed her mind. They soon went on their first date, a trip to P.F. Chang's.

In the couple's interview with Yahoo! Life, Housley asserted that he knew something was special about Mowry even early on: "I really loved who she was and I'm like, 'This is someone I can see spending the rest of my life with.'" And they've indeed built a life together. They have two children — a daughter named Ariah and a son named Aden. They also own a winery, Century Oak Wine, in Napa Valley, California.
