Shortly after the breakup, it appeared that Khloé had a much bigger pill to swallow as Thompson finally confirmed allegations that he was the father of fitness instructor Maralee Nichols' child, commenting on the news after his birthday weekend in March 2022, per Us Weekly.

Capturing the moment on camera was unplanned
Prior to "The Kardashians" airing, the family joined Robin Roberts on USA Today to candidly speak about their lives. Of course, when it came to Khloé Kardashian, the question on everyone's mind was how she was feeling about Tristan Thompson. Khloé revealed that Kim was actually the one to inform her of the news, sharing, "That was hard." Khloé added that it felt like "deja vu," but the hurt it caused "doesn't get any easier."
Speaking to Variety, the Good American co-founder confirmed that the saga would unfold on the show as she shared, "I wish I never had to talk about that because it's not a fun thing to talk about," adding, "But it is part of my journey in life, so we will see it on the show."
As the episode is set to air soon, an executive producer of "The Kardashians" explained to Us Weekly that the moment was filmed because the crew just happened to be with Khloé that day, and it was not planned. The producer explained, "I know sometimes it's tough for the audience to kind of grasp like 'Oh, did they go back and did they capture this?' But there were so many moments that we genuinely captured just because we're almost always there."
Speaking to USA Today, Khloé revealed that she doesn't even remember being filmed, as she explained, "I'm so immune to the filming." Considering how often Khloé has had to go through this, it's no surprise that she finds the whole experience "numbing."
