Experience

Laura has worked as a news and features journalist for over six years. After finishing her undergraduate degree, where she helped to run the student newspaper, she was awarded The Scott Trust Bursary through The Guardian. It gave her a fully-funded place on the Print Journalism MA course at the University of Sheffield. After graduation, she worked at the Belfast Telegraph in her native Northern Ireland, before moving to London to work for the Press Association and later Metro.co.uk. She is now a freelance journalist and alongside her work with Static Media, she writes for a variety of publications.

Laura has an undergraduate degree in history from the University of St. Andrews and a postgraduate degree in print journalism from the University of Sheffield.
