Darcey & Stacey Season 3: Here's What We Can Tell Fans So Far

Attempting to explain the "90 Day Fiancé" world to anyone that isn't an avid fan is likely to leave you slightly resembling the popular meme of Charlie Day pointing maniacally at his wall filled with conspiracy theories and connections (via Know Your Meme). What began as a simple TLC reality show exploring the lives of couples engaged to foreigners using the 90 day U.S. visa allowance to explore their relationship before their marriage has now spiraled into a massive empire. It's almost impossible to even attempt to enter the world this late in the game, with a slew of spinoffs that even die-hard fans struggle to keep track of (via Vulture).

A treasure trove of memes and shocking moments, "90 Day Fiancé" always manages to go viral even amongst people that don't watch it religiously. Each season brings with it it's own charade of strange personalities that end up internet-famous. While we've seen countless cast members come and go, none have gotten quite as famous (and held on to their fame even more tightly) than Darcey and Stacey Silva.

Darcey & Silva spinoff show gets a third season

When hearing the name Darcey Silva, an instant image of her dramatically sobbing comes to mind. She stole viewers' hearts and countless laughs throughout her long tenure in the "90 Day Fiancé" franchise, being featured in almost every season of "Before the 90 Days." Often seen with a different partner, Darcey was committed to finding love. While fans enjoyed watching her blindly trust strangers, they also enjoyed watching her repeatedly clash with her twin sister Stacey — once to the point of getting arrested (via Distractify). The sisters getting a spinoff show was inevitable, but no one expected it to be so successful that they'd officially be renewing it for a third season.

Before Season 2 of "Darcey & Stacey" had even concluded, TLC announced that the show would be getting a Season 3 that is set to begin airing in January 2022 (via ET Online). While fans of the show are ecstatic, some viewers are confused as to how the show has made it this far considering it kicked off Season 1 with pretty low ratings (via ScreenRant).

Will Georgi Rusev return?

When twins Darcey and Stacey Silva got their own spinoff show, fans knew insanity was about to ensue. Whether clashing with their significant others, or with each other, the sisters have proven to always deliver one thing for sure: drama. Throughout previous seasons the sisters have had their fair share of relationship problems. Stacey struggled with her much-younger husband expressing that he'd like to have a baby, while it became clear that would be difficult for the 46-year-old (via Distractify). Meanwhile, Darcey's seemingly happy ending completely crashed and burned with Georgi Rusev (via People).

Season 2 concluded after a series of explosive discoveries, with Darcey seemingly officially ending things with Rusev and moving on (via Distractify). However, given her past of giving multiple second chances, fans wondered if the couple would get back together for Season 3. Judging by the trailer, Darcey is sticking to her guns this time. Rusev is not featured at all in the trailer, and it seems as though Darcey is focused on her fashion business and spending time with her daughters, both of whom will play bigger roles in Season 3 (via Instagram). Stacey and husband Florian seem to still be together with him popping up a few times in the trailer. It looks like this season will focus on the sisters working together and their children, rather than the usual relationship drama.

What drama will ensue in Season 3?

Whether you love them or love to hate them, you can't really deny that Darcey and Stacey Silva are entertaining. They love strong and they love hard, but unfortunately they rarely see what's actually in front of them. The 46-year-old twin sisters have gone through a lot throughout both "Darcey & Stacey" and "90 Day Fiancé."

Season 2 concluded with a promo that showed a first look at what Season 3 would entail. With the sisters finally both in seemingly stable relationships, Season 3 appears to focus more on their relationships with their children (via Showbiz CheatSheet). The duo focus on promoting their fashion brand with a big fashion show, while Darcey's daughter prepares for a pageant (via Instagram).

This is quite the steer away from the typical explosive relationship drama the show provides. The series' debut season showed a dramatic engagement and a marriage, while the second was all about the ladies questioning whether their partners would stay with them (via People). Time will only tell if this new direction will help or hurt their already low ratings.
