Selling Sunset's Amanza Smith Dishes About Not-So-Secret Boyfriend

If Netflix's hit reality TV series "Selling Sunset" was solely based on the LA real estate market, it would likely be lumped with the rest of the HGTV crew and not have had the huge success it has. No, it's about so much more than simply watching tours of lavish million-dollar properties with stunning views of LA. It's all about the drama. It's about watching the beautiful realtors dressed in Dior's finest clacking their heels at each other and throwing impeccable shade.

One typically critical component of reality TV series is missing from "Selling Sunset" though, and that's love lives. The leading ladies shed some light on their partners or dating life, but not nearly enough. As the seasons progress, we're given more and more of a peek into their private lives outside of all of the mean girl hoopla.

Chrishell Stause has a habit of busting the door wide open and sharing the ins and outs of her divorce from Justin Hartley as well as when she began dating her boss Jason Oppenheim, per Us Weekly. Christine Quinn even had her wedding as an episode of the show, although she regretted that one, per People.

But some of the ladies leave fans wanting. Well, Amanza Smith has finally opened up about her current love life and it looks like we've missed a lot.

Amanza Smith has had a secret boyfriend for two years: and it's not Zac Efron

Over the span of five seasons, fans have watched most of the "Selling Sunset" cast embark on various relationships. Five seasons later, hardly any of the cast are in the same relationship they entered with, per Harper's Bazaar. Viewers watched Christine Quinn's relationship with new beau Christian Richard develop all the way to the aisle, as well as witnessed Heather Rae Young become Heather Rae El Moussa as she wed HGTV star Tarek El Moussa.

But one star's love life that fans don't know much about is Amanza Smith. Well, left to their own devices, fans had no choice but to jump to conclusions and assume that she was dating Zac Efron after one innocent photo of them together appeared, per Elle. She cleared things up quickly during the "Selling Sunset" reunion special by explaining to Tan France, "If that's my boyfriend, that was the fastest developing relationship in history."

Well, tea has finally been spilled. While speaking to People to announce her partnership with Forward, Smith dropped the bombshell that she's actually been in a relationship for two years now. The real estate agent explained that they had made a joint decision to keep their relationship private and away from social media, saying, "I want to make sure that when we go public that we're so 100% sure that nobody can affect the energy of that." Considering how her last relationship played out, this decision makes a lot of sense.

Amanza Smith's new boyfriend is nothing like ex Ralph Brown

When Amanza Smith first joined the "Selling Sunset" scene as Mary Fitzgerald and Jason Oppenheim's close friend, she walked in as an open book candidly willing to share and confront, per Bustle. And she had a lot to share. Smith stood out from the rest of her colleagues as she offered a peek into her life with her children as a single mother. But what was most striking was watching her story with ex-husband, retired NFL player Ralph Brown unfold.

Smith shared that she raised her children by herself before Brown actually disappeared and was suddenly unreachable, per Entertainment Tonight. The real estate agent battled with the shocking turn her life took, telling the outlet, "I go from being angry to just really sad. I'm still picking up the pieces and mending little broken hearts over here."

Having gone through such a highly visible relationship with a public figure, it makes sense why Smith would choose to guard her current relationship. But the most important thing is that Smith is happier than ever as she beamed to People about her new beau, "He is amazing with everything, including my children," Smith says. "He's just an amazing human." She shared, "Hopefully, one day I will feel comfortable to share with the world, but for now, I like having him private. It's really the only thing in my life that people don't know about fully."
