In 2019 he became a contributor for Showbiz Cheat Sheet, where he has accumulated an expansive portfolio writing about contemporary pop culture icons such as Taylor Swift and the Kardashians as well as movies, music, and television. He also authored articles for AudioPhix, American Songwriter, Screen Rant, and Cinema Axis, as well as providing script coverage for Heretic Literary Management.

Matthew has a bachelor's degree in film and media studies from Tufts University.
