Lauren Boebert Shrugs Into Outdated Plaid Blazer That Looks Like A 1970s Couch

Does Lauren Boebert have a personal stylist? Because if so, she should fire them. The Colorado representative is back again with another outfit that completely missed the mark. She posted a photo to her work Instagram account on May 17, 2025, that featured the families of two law enforcement officers who were killed in the line of duty. Boebert was giving them a tour of both the White House and the U.S. Capitol in honor of National Police Week.

"We should never forget the law enforcement officers who gave their lives in service and we must continue to pray for and support the loved ones who carry on without them," she captioned on Instagram. And while that's all well and good, why in the world did the mother of four sons decide to wear a plaid blazer that looked like she stole it from her grandmother's favorite couch?

Although 1970s fashion is having a resurgence, the look falls flat for Boebert. This snapshot is reminiscent of that infamous "Modern Family" group pic where everyone is dressed in casual clothes, while Ariel Winter wore a revealing dress with a plunging neckline — basically, Boebert was dressed for a much different event than her tour group. And it wasn't just her outfit that had eyebrows raised and eyes rolling. "Why do you pose like that?" asked one person in the comments. "You can't stand like a normal person." She loves giving the camera a little leg, like she's posing with her sorority sisters, even doing it when Boebert met rapper 50 Cent.

Many of Lauren Boebert's outfits leave much to be desired

While Lauren Boebert's grandma-couch blazer is an eyesore, it's not surprising. She does have a history of wearing outfits that leave people scratching their heads. For example, the conservative politician once wore an ensemble that made Boebert look like a cowgirl-witch-vixen combo, which is just as chaotic as it sounds. Hilariously, she repped that outfit for a photo with President Donald Trump, and the shadow cast above her head made it look like she was wearing a pointy witch's hat. Sometimes, the universe has a sense of humor.

Another example would make Lizzie McGuire gasp, since it proves the gun rights activist is an outfit repeater. Boebert once slipped into a sloppy shirt two days in a row, and it was even worse the second time. This showed how her fashion has gotten messier, which seems to be a slippery slope to wearing outdated plaid blazers meant for octogenarians. Boebert must be taking notes from Karoline Leavitt, who always dresses way older than she is.
