The Truth About Trevor From The Bachelor's Listen To Your Heart
While it will be a while before we get a new season of The Bachelorette, we at least have The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart to fill the Bachelor void in our lives. The premiere of the new show has introduced us to 23 new contestants who are hoping to make sweet harmonies on the show.
One of the contestants, 29-year-old Trevor Holmes, induced some major deja vu because he put viewers in mind of another Bachelor Nation star: Jed Wyatt, who competed on Hannah Brown's Bachelorette season. Is Trevor really another Jed in the making? We'll have to see how the rest of the season unfolds.
Who is Trevor Holmes?
According to his bio on the ABC website, Trevor is a country pop musician who has been playing the guitar since he was 13 years old. He currently plays gigs and writes music in Los Angeles outside of his 9 to 5 job. The Listen to Your Heart contestant has also competed on another major reality show, making it to the Top 25 on American Idol in 2018.
Trevor is also a dog lover whose best friend is Koda, his golden retriever. Trevor's quite the athlete, too; he likes to surf and was once a semi-professional hockey player.
A lot of people think Trevor Holmes is the next Jed Wyatt
Bachelorette Hannah Brown watched the premiere of Listen to Your Heart and was not too happy to see Trevor on the show because he was giving off some serious Jed vibes. Not only is he an aspiring country pop star just like Hannah's ex-fiancé, but he also wore a sherpa-lined jacket that looked an awful lot like the one Jed wore on The Bachelorette while he serenaded Hannah (per E! News). For those of you who have forgotten, Hannah broke things off with Jed after finding out that he'd been in a relationship just days before joining her Bachelorette season and had initially signed up to boost his music career. "I'm triggered by this whole thing," she tweeted.
Hannah's maybe boyfriend, Tyler Cameron, tweeted "We've seen how this whole look turns out already..."
Jed, however, was entertained by the whole thing. "Something about this new show feels familiar," he tweeted. "Maybe it's Trevor's jacket, maybe it's all the guitars. Stay tuned."
