Taylor Swift Wedding Guest Looks, Ranked From Worst To Best

At Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding phones, were banned, there was more security at their Madison Square Garden venue than Area 51, and guests were gifted an NDA. So given how fortified things were on the 3rd of July 2026 in and around MSG, there's not much we know about the nuptials.
But, thanks to hair and makeup artists advertising their skills online or slightly cryptic celeb social media posts, one thing we know for sure is how good (or bad) the wedding guests looked. Indeed, some attendees and inside sources have been less "Now That We Don't Talk" and more "Speak Now" about the day. According to DeuxMoi, the event had a "Midsummer Night's Dream" aesthetic and, as per The New York Times, the dress code was black tie for the fellas and ladies were asked to wear elevated cocktail dresses or floor-length gowns.
It's a theme reflected in what we know about the wedding's decor. "Somehow magically, someone created an outdoor garden at a lush countryside retreat [in MSG]," confirmed AMC boss Adam Aron in a now-deleted X post (via People). "Real flowers and I think artificial trees welcomed fifteen rows of maybe 75 or so chairs," he added. "They say there were around one thousand attendees, but surprisingly, it all felt intimate and small." So, out of those 1,000 or so guests, let's take a look at who stunned and who slipped up sartorially.
28. Brittany Mahomes' baby blue dress was more prom than power-couple wedding
In a baby-blue maxi dress from Marmar Halim worth upwards of $2,000, not to mention a $100,000 necklace, Brittany Mahomes would've looked less prom in a cheap $20 Target dress. It's giving wannabe sorority sister, and not in a good way.
"Waiting for the community note that they actually went to a prom in bumblef*** Missouri," quipped one X user about the look. "I'm starting to feel bad for Brittany," noted a user on Reddit. "Her stylist is awful from hair to wardrobe on a regular basis."
27. Patrick Mahomes was equally as badly dressed
Patrick Mahomes has undergone a stunning transformation over the years. However, like any transformation, there have been highs and lows. Sadly, his outfit at Taylor Swift and his Kansas City Chiefs teammate Travis Kelce's wedding was the latter.
The navy, blue, and black Tom Ford tux he wore was less designer and more disaster. From the sleeves to the pants, everything looked too short, and not in a tasteful Thom Browne way. In football parlance, he fumbled it.
26. Simone Biles' bizarre leather look
"[T]he perfect love story," wrote Simone Biles on Instagram about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's romance. "[F]ollowed by the perfect nighTT." However, that night she wore the not-so-perfect wedding guest dress. The Olympic gold medalists' DO LONG burgundy gown, covered in ticket-stump-length leather strips and metallic circles with a big ol' tulle train, was as baffling as it was maximalist.
It is a dress-code-appropriate elevated cocktail dress, yet the maximalism of it all elevates it past classy and into trashy. As one X-er put it, "Drama is one word. Tacky would be another."
25. Karlie Kloss' garish gold
Thankfully, Taylor Swift's BFF, Abigail Anderson, confirmed Karlie Kloss is officially back in the inner circle, and thus the supermodel stepped out in New York for the biggest wedding of the year.
However, her strapless, bright gold maxi dress wasn't exactly an outfit that would make friends. It's loud, in-your-face, and very garish. It's the dress equivalent of that pal who has a few too many mojitos at the open bar. If we were Swift, we would've put this dress in a taxi and sent it home.
24. Jessica Alba's gold skirt had similar levels of garishness
"Make up, yes. Jewelry, yes. New boyfriend, oh hell yes," wrote one user on Reddit about Jessica Alba's look. "Dress, not so much babe." Indeed, Alba should've kept this look in the closet until Taylor Swift's next globetrotting concerts.
The "Fantastic Four" actor wore a Prada gown with a gold-sequinned skirt that was more appropriate for the Eras Tour than Swift's wedding day. In fact, it looked not dissimilar from the flapper-inspired fringe mini-dress from the show's "Fearless" segment. Well, you'd have to be fearless to cosplay as the bride.
23. Jenny Han and her questionable florals
"The Summer I Turned Pretty" author and co-showrunner Jenny Han could have turned a prettier dress at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's summer wedding. Although Han's dress met the floral-forest-y dress code, it went far too OOT. There's a floral dress, then there's this bright pink floral dress with 3D flower detailing.
Given that Swift's allowed 30 tracks from her back catalog to be used on the hit show, you'd expect Han to return the favor with a nice 'fit. A "Style" for style swap, if you will. Still, at least it's on theme.
22. Kumar Ferguson's swing and a miss
Whether it's linen suits or too-tight tailoring, men's wedding style can be a little stale. So, Kumar Ferguson's teeny-weeny sunglasses and tabi loafers were an admirably ambitious choice, but one that didn't quite come off.
The lifelong Travis Kelce pal and personal chef's tuxedo was certainly elevated by the addition of his shades and shoes. However, both items are very 2026. You wanna look back on a wedding 'fit in 20 years and not cringe. Ferguson gets points for trying, but we're not sure this look will stand the test of time.
21. Ethan Hawke's boring blue suit
Now, for one of the most unexpected guests at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding. Ethan Hawke didn't expect an invite, and nor did he look like it in his navy blue suit and tie.
It seemed as if Hawke had picked his suit out the night before, without a second thought about the black tie dress code actually called for. A navy blue suit will never go out of style when attending a wedding, but don't expect us to think it's interesting or on theme.
20. Greta Gerwig's lame line green
To some extent, we're thankful that Greta Gerwig didn't follow a fair few of the other wedding guests and wear pink (more on them later). But perhaps she should've.
The "Barbie" writer-director wore a mint green asymmetrical Stella McCartney dress. Although it was a summery color, which also fit loosely with the forest floral theme, it isn't exactly flattering in either tone or fit. The loose cut looked lazy, and the color was one you'd expect to see on a woman forty years Gerwig's senior.
19. Gigi Hadid's Barbie pink look
If you didn't get the memo, Barbiecore pink is done, and another color is taking over the limelight. Well, Gigi Hadid hasn't yet. She donned a dress from Wiederhoeft's spring-summer 2025 collection that wouldn't have looked out of place in Greta Gerwig's aforementioned 2023 movie.
The model's strapless, sequinned, and eye-catching salmon look was, as one Reddit user put it, "[W]hat I imagine Barbie would wear in real life." Indeed, sadly, this dress is more cosplay than cool.
18. BFF Abigail Anderson Berrard's dress was not timeless
Taylor Swift's best friend, Abigail Anderson Berard, wore the same dress as another wedding guest. It's unsurprising, as in 2026 the corset became a favorite among fashionistas, particularly the floral variety that Anderson Berard and JuJu Smith-Schuster's fiancée Laura Kruk were wearing. But much like Kumar Ferguson's look, it's too 2026.
The burgundy skirt that hugged her legs a little too tightly also did Swift's bezzie no favors. As one user on X noted, "She's beautiful, but I thought she had a tablecloth wrapped around her waist."
17. Camila Cabello's unstructured dress made us sigh
The purposefully unstructured red dress from Zimmermann's spring-summer '26 runway that Camila Cabello wore to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding doesn't have us saying "I Luv It" or "Uuugly." But something in between.
The loose gown, which was a bit oversized, was romantic and apt for any wedding. However, we'd love to see what this dress would look like after a trip to the tailor and/or hung off the shoulder. Weddings are all about letting your hair down, but this outfit is a bit too loose.
16. Fergie looked like she was going to a totally different event
Fergie went all-out in sparkling John Galliano-era Dior with her disco-y look at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding. Dior is an apt choice, since the happy couple wore something from the French atelier. However, the former Black Eyed Peas' look is perhaps more suited to a '70s dance floor of Studio 54 circa than a forest floral wedding.
It's a great dress-code-fitting elevated cocktail dress. But it might be a bit sparkly for a secret garden party.
15. Elizabeth Banks' style-ish chiffon
Despite the vintage Versace label, Elizabeth Banks' dress was standard wedding fare. Her blue halter look was suitable for any nuptials, whether it's one of the biggest pop stars marrying a three-time Super Bowl champ or your second cousin's second marriage, and the feathery patterns add a certain je ne sais quoi.
But what's forest-y or floral-y about the color blue? It's a good look, but not a great one for this particular knot-tying event, and we'd expect something a little more interesting from a vintage Versace look.
14. Gracie Hunt's shimmering turquoise
Gracie Hunt, the daughter of the Kansas City Chiefs head-huncho Clark Hunt, didn't wear the team colors to Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's wedding. Instead, she went with a Miami Dolphins mint green Roberto Cavalli dress. But the addition of a bedazzled silver purse and pumps made her look every bit the Chiefs royalty she is.
However, is it on theme? A dolphin-coded color? A heck'u'va lotta sparkles? There's not much "Midsummer Night's Dream" about that. We'd love to see this look in a more theme-fitting forest, not mint, green.
13. Joey King's look was on theme but uncool
One person who went all-in on the secret garden theme was Joey King. The "Mean" music video actor wore an upscaled LBD from Leo Lin and Mytheresa with a literal floral strap and large flowery patterns across the bust. It may be one of the most theme-fitting outfits, but it ain't one of the chicest.
However, that is a pretty Swift-coded way to dress. As "Popcast" host Joe Coscarelli noted, "If Taylor had good visual aesthetics she'd be too powerful." The same goes for King's gown.
12. Hugh Grant played it simple and stylish
Sometimes, when men attend a wedding, a black tux is all they need. It was certainly enough for Hugh Grant, who wore a classic tux that made him among the most stylish attendees by default.
The look's not showy. It's not loud. But it sure is classic and gosh darn traditional. For a marriage that took place at Madison Square Garden, usually a home of basketball, boxing, and Harry Styles concerts, it was a much-needed bit of wedding orthodoxy.
11. Selena Gomez popped off in a champagne-colored dress
In an Oscar de la Renta dress, Selena Gomez showed us she's in the upper echelon of Taylor Swift's girl squad style-wise. The look is no surprise, considering, per British Vogue, Swift wore a similar champagne de la Renta gown at Gomez's wedding a year earlier.
"So old Hollywood," said one user on Reddit. "Selena Gomez has been killing it lately." Swift has referenced Clara Bow and Elizabeth Taylor in her music, so old Hollywood is a classy and knowing aesthetic for her wedding day.
10. Cindy Crawford's LBD was legendary
Supermodel Cindy Crawford has had a few rare fashion flops over the years. However, her look at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding was not one of them. She opted for a chic and timeless off-the-shoulder little black dress with some sparkling $96,000 Bulgari diamonds to boot.
While showing off Crawford's style nous, the look wasn't show-y-off-y at all. Rather, it was simple and understood that restraint is often better than maximalism. As Karl Lagerfeld famously once said, via StyleCaster, "One is never over or underdressed with a little black dress."
9. Her daughter, Kaia Gerber, followed suit
Kaia Gerber showed that mom knows best when it comes to dressing as a wedding guest by also wearing an LBD. "The Shards" star's gown, however, had a low-cut sweetheart neckline and hugged the body tightly. In the best way possible, Gerber and Cindy Crawford looked like they were auditioning for a remake of the 2024 film "The Substance."
Crawford's kids live lavish lives, and there aren't many events more lavish than Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding. Thankfully, the sartorial apple didn't fall far from the tree, and Gerber dressed appropriately for the occasion.
8. Adam Scott looked properly preppy
While women attending the T-and-T nuptials were allegedly asked to elevate their cocktail gowns, men were asked to keep it black tie. However, "Severance" star Adam Scott elevated his black tie with a preppy twist.
Eschewing the standard-issue black tux, Scott wore a navy blue Ralph Lauren double-breasted blazer, bow tie, and white trousers. He looked like he stepped straight off a runway walk for the American heritage brand, and that's no bad look at all. It's giving Swift off-duty. It's giving "the last great American dynasty."
7. Lena Dunham's powerhouse pink
In a custom design by Christian Cowan, Lena Dunham looked both eye-catching and pared back. It's a tightrope walk any good wedding outfit has to pull off: not too showy, but not too boring. The "Girls" star's bright pink blouse with a baby blue rosette and long, flowing black skirt did that perfectly.
Ahead of the July 2026 wedding, Dunham had number one-level success with her memoir "Famesick." It's a shame the book came out before the pre-T-and-T nuptials, because we would've loved to hear her spill all about this outfit.
6. Griff's elegant Erdem
The British songstress Griff – who also makes her own dresses and upcycles second-hand garments on social media – showed she really does know a thing or two about fashion with her pastel pink dress that featured contrasting black floral detailing.
The Erdem dress she wore to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding wasn't self-designed, but that made it no less impressive. "That dress is STUNNING and you WEAR IT," wrote a commenter on TikTok. Indeed, she's a woman of many talents, and a stylish one at that.
5. Anya Taylor-Joy gave us another top-quality LBD
Those little black dresses, eh? Do they ever look bad? Well, if the stunning LBD Anya Taylor-Joy wore to Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce nuptials is anything to go by, then no.
The British-Argentinian wore a figure-hugging, low-cut LBD that featured a gorgeous velvet skirt from a 1995 John Galliano ready-to-wear collection. The bilingual actor let her floor-length gown do the talking with some simple black heeled sandals, and boy, did it do some talking.
4. Gabriella Brooks' festive feathers
In a baby-pink Conner Ives gown that featured a gorgeous feather hoop around the midriff and a classy halter design, Gabriella Brooks wore the elevated cocktail dress to end all elevated cocktail dresses. The Australian model, who previously dated Swift's ex Matty Healy, did what many of the pink dresses ranked lower on this list didn't: she went with light pink, not bright pink.
"Congratulations T [and] T," Brooks wrote on Instagram. "[Y]ou are a match made in heaven." You know what's also a match made in heaven? This dress and Brooks.
3. J-Lo's voluminous velvet
Jennifer Lopez's look at the Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce wedding was like Anya Taylor-Joy's, but if the outfit was injected with a fashion superserum. The "Out of Sight" actor's audacious velvet bodice and asymmetrical skirt from Bach Mai was bolder than almost all the other wedding guests' dresses at the event.
As we've covered, a major part of the style directive for these nuptials was to elevate cocktail dresses and don floor-length gowns. With this fit, Lopez did both.
2. Gracie Abrams' sparkling red Chanel dress
"Daughter from Hell?" More like Taydaughter who dresses very well. Indeed, at Taylor Swift's wedding, her mentee, Gracie Abrams, wore a red, burning red dress.
The Chanel gown, which Abrams also wore for a Vogue photoshoot earlier in 2026, had sparkling bead detailing and plunging side cutouts. It pays a tasteful homage to Swift's Eras Tour romper from the "Red" chapter of the show, but also stands as a great outfit in its own right. Although some consider Olivia Rodrigo to be the Taydaughter, Abrams has the most Swiftian style.
1. Sabrina Carpenter showed serious taste in custom lace
"One of my fav looks of hers ever," wrote a Redditor regarding the Rodarte outfit Sabrina Carpenter wore for pal Taylor Swift's wedding. "On brand and perfectly fitted is always a win for me. She nailed it!" We couldn't agree more. The "Manchild" singer wore a black lace gown with a pink flower-shaped rosette at the center, in a look that merged the floral theme with her personal style.
As we know, there were allegedly 1,000 guests invited to Madison Square Garden. Of those 1,000, Carpenter dressed the best.
