2026 Celebrity Wedding Looks, Ranked From Worst To Best
From Dua Lipa and Callum Turner's chic Italian nuptials to the blockbuster ceremony of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, there have been many well-publicized weddings in 2026. Heck, there's also been a lot of talk about what guests have worn to such weddings. Be it brides, grooms, or guests, some looks will end up on moodboards for years to come, and others are better forgotten. Indeed, for every brilliant Billie Eilish wedding guest gown, there was a not-so-good groom look from Mr. Beast.
But what have been the prevailing trends of '26 when it comes to wedding wardrobes? Well, it's an eclectic mix. Whether it's brighter colors over neutral shades, fluid and feminine wedding dresses, or, as sure as night follows day, plenty of little black dresses. In the age of the micro-trend, there'll be something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and something trendy at any wedding. But that means some looks will be timeless, some will be en vogue, and some should've never been worn at all. So, now that last orders at the open bar have been called and the guests have all stumbled into their Ubers for the 2026 wedding season, let's look at the best and worst celebrity looks we've seen.
27. Ed Sheeran's blinding blue suit
2026 wasn't Ed Sheeran's year and his outfit at Taylor Swift's wedding was yet another nightmare, albeit far less controversial. He wore a shapeless suit over a plain white T-shirt and black Nike sneakers. But this markedly casual look isn't our only issue.
The Blue Lagoon color, adorned with a paisley pattern, made this bad look stick out more than if he'd worn a sandwich board that said: "I don't know how to dress." As one user on X put it, "My guy looks like a smiling bottle of gatorade."
26. Mary Elizabeth Ellis' bright floral look
There are many outfits from Taylor Swift's wedding at the bottom of this list, perhaps that's because over 1,000 people attended. And Swift's wedding guests flaunted some wildly expensive looks. "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" star Mary Elizabeth Ellis was one of those 1,000, but she looked more wild than expensive. Ellis' baby pink gown with sparkling yellow and blue primary-colored floral detailing did meet the apparent forest florals dress code. However, this range of "Lover"-era colors mixed about as well together as, well, pink and yellow.
25. Mr. Beast's bland suit
"I found MrsBeast," wrote the YouTube money man Mr. Beast, whose government name is Jimmy Donaldson, in the caption of an Instagram carousel displaying loved-up images from his marriage to Thea Booysen. However, despite topping the 2026 Forbes content creator list, with estimated earnings of $300 million, he still couldn't find a good tuxedo.
Donaldson's white jacket didn't fit perfectly. He had wrinkly and divoted suit sleeves paired with too-short black pants that could've used a tailoring. In fact, we know that he can afford a stylist who would've created a far more interesting look.
24. Ashley Avignone's ultra red dress
Traditionally, wearing red as a wedding guest is considered a faux pas, even if the bride has an album named after the color. Indeed, Ashley Avignone's halter-neck red gown was a little too much for Taylor Swift's wedding. "Tradition dictates guests avoid wearing red," bridal stylist Gabrielle Hurwitz told Brides. The fact that Avignone and Swift have been pals for over 15 years makes this outfit bad. But what makes it even worse is that Avignone made a career of her work as a stylist. You'd expect a professional to know better!
23. Karlie Kloss' bold gold
Speaking of controversial colors for a wedding guest, take a look at Karlie Kloss' gold gown at Taylor Swift's wedding. Like Ashley Avignone, Kloss has been pals with the "All Too Well" singer since the early 2010s, so you'd expect her to dress a little less show-y and spotlight-stealing. All things considered, it's just not a good gown. Period. In fact, this might even be a worse look than her much maligned 2019 Met Gala 'fit. Kloss, in this gold dress, still couldn't say she was looking camp right in the eye.
22. Prince William's blue was not at all royal
Far be it from us to suggest that a royal looks cheap. But Prince William's look at Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling's wedding in 2026 saw him dress in a blue waistcoat and tie that looked more high street than high-end. Indeed, the Prince of Wales' blue combo made him look more like someone who was cosplaying a royal in a Hallmark movie than one from real life. If this look is royal anything, it's a royally average look.
21. Kim Petras' floral fail
If there's a style that comes to mind when you think of Kim Petras, it's probably something Euro-trashy, something bright, or something a little unorthodox. Although none of those options are wedding-ready, what the German did wear to Matty Healy and Gabbriette's wedding wasn't, as pop stans would put it, a serve. Petras wore a strappy, figure-hugging floral dress in lilac that looked a bit more like something an octogenarian would wear to church than something befitting a wedding between a rock star and a supermodel. The "Need for Speed" singer needs a better stylist.
20. Abby Wambach's classy-ish wedding guest tux
We respect breaking the conventions of gendered dressing, as former USWNT star Abby Wambach did at Taylor Swift's wedding, but this three-piece tuxedo didn't ooze as much class as the couple thought it did. The suit was reminiscent of one Travis Kelce wore on-stage with Swift at the Eras Tour in London, with a white waistcoat and shirt under a long-length black dinner jacket. In fact, with Wambach's wife, Glennon Doyle, dressed in an "Opalite"-inspired outfit, these two looked like they were getting ready for Swift's next tour, not attending her wedding.
19. Kesha's bold black look from Taylor Swift's wedding
The velvet Stella McCartney halter gown Kesha wore to Taylor Swift's wedding would look good under the lights on a dance floor, but not so much at a wedding ceremony. Although a black dress is a staple of wedding dressing, this one looked loud and brash because of its shininess. What we really want from a black dress is something more subtle and chic. "Here's my motto: When all else fails, wear black," the stylist Corinne Pierre-Louis told Brides. However, it's a shade that still managed to fail Kesha.
18. Perrie Edwards' overly lavish lace
The bridal look of former Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards was all lace and, well ... nothing else. We all love a bit of lace, not least on a wedding dress, but sometimes you can have too much of a good thing. "For brides wanting a timeless look," fashion guru Lisa Talbot told the Daily Mail, when speaking about the "Tears" singer's gown. "I'd encourage them to focus first on the silhouette, fit, and fabric rather than decorative details." Edwards' look, however, was all decorative details.
17. Justine Skye's long LBD
What Kesha's little black dress didn't, Justine Skye's did. At Jordyn Woods and Karl-Anthony Towns' wedding, the singer and actor went for an evergreen wedding look that was subtle, chic, and, perhaps most importantly for a wedding guest, not so showy. The low-cut dress, featuring a sweetheart neckline and spaghetti straps, shone in its simplicity. Although it's not a look that's going to turn the fashion world on its head, or even take up space on pre-nuptial mood boards, the simplicity means it does what a wedding guest dress needs to.
16. Jesse Jo Stark's velvet corset
If you want to get inspiration for alternative wedding guest outfits, then look no further than Jesse Jo Stark's gown at Gabbriette and Matty Healy's nuptials. The Los Angeles songstress showed up in a figure-hugging velvet gown, which featured a lesser-spotted center fastening through the middle of the corset-style bodice, and perma-chic thin sunglasses.
Although this isn't a look that'd work for every wedding, it certainly works for the kind of gothic-coded nuptials the model and pop-rocker had. Also, maybe substitute a cigarette for a glass of bubbly?
15. Mel C's middling bridal dress
When two become one, it's probably best you don't wear a tracksuit. Thankfully, Sporty Spice, aka Melanie Chisholm, looked suitably posh on her wedding day. But although this is a decent wedding look, it maybe would've been better if it wasn't designed by Posh Spice.
Chisholm's Victoria Beckham-designed, lace-trimmed cami dress with a soft V-neckline looked good but low-key. It's a wedding dress for someone who doesn't like wedding dresses. At least she ditched the Adidas. Well, she did until putting the three stripes back on for her reception.
14. Taylor Swift's pink wedding guest gown
In her 2026 song "Cleveland," Taylor Swift claims her haters say, despite her wealth, she's a bad dresser. However, her style at JuJu Smith-Schuster and Laura Kruk's wedding was just ... meh. But that probably doesn't make for good lyrics.
This floral pink and crimson Markarian look sits somewhere between a grandmother's curtains and a gown that'll have fans screaming "mother." For some, it's a Swift style classic. For others, it's a bit too bold. For us, it's 15th. If you're a fan, here's how to copy Swift's style on a budget.
13. Emma Roberts' more than suitable bridal style
In July, Emma Roberts married Cody John at his childhood home in Sun Valley. Thankfully, here, the "American Horror Story" star was dressed for a love story. Roberts wore a custom Monique Lhuillier dress that made her look like the chicest Egyptian mummy ever.
"I did not want a traditional white dress but more of an antique, almost tea-stained white," Roberts told Vogue about how she envisioned the look. "I had told them I wanted to look like a ghost in photos." Well, she also looked like a pretty cool bride in photos.
12. The Leclerc's classy wedding whites
Sometimes, tradition is tradition for a reason, so much so that Alexandra and Charles Leclerc both went with trad-white for their bride and groom outfits. The former wore a jaw-dropping custom Paolo Sebastian lace look, with long sleeves and a fishtail neckline, whereas the Formula One speedster wore an ivory Brunello Cucinelli suit that was just fine. That is to say, it was average.
In 2026, there was a lot of talk about swag gap relationships, but these lovers are a swag gap marriage.
11. Selena Gomez's subtle champagne look
In 2025, Selena Gomez, popped champagne and celebrated her marriage to Benny Blanco. A year later, she wore a champagne Oscar de la Renta dress to Taylor Swift's wedding. It's an apt wedding guest look, considering ODLR is one of Swift's favorite dressmakers. But it's not just the label that makes it a strong wedding guest gown. The column cut number with delicate embroidery was both subtle and chic. Our one note: Maybe it's a little too bridal in its color? Regardless, unlike Karlie Kloss, this T-Swizzle bestie understood the assignment.
10. Gabrielle Union's pretty perfect pink dress
Although many colorful and experimental looks have ranked low on this list, Gabrielle Union's colorful, experimental, and, most notably, cool guest outfit shows that a bit of trend-hopping can work. The "Bring It On" star's pastel pink Zuhair Murad dress brought it, with the look featuring a corset bodice with a long-sleeved, flowing maxi dress above it. As per CBS News, the average American goes to four weddings per year. So, don't be afraid to experiment like Union did now and then.
9. Analuisa Corrigan looked wonderful in white
"We got married in our backyard last month and it was perfect," wrote Analuisa Corrigan, Logan Lerman's now-wife, in an Instagram post. One thing she may have been too modest to mention, however, was that her dress was also perfect.
The ceramics artist, who first began dating Lerman circa 2020, wore a stunning strapless white bridal gown with a long layered train and a veil wrapped around her bun. It's safe to say that "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" actor's wife outshone her famous husband, who wore a basic black suit.
8. Billie Eilish's gorgeous green gown
These Billie Eilish looks stand above the rest. While most of her looks are not the most wedding-ready, the"CHIHIRO" singer dressed more appropriately (and brilliantly) at Finneas' wedding. Indeed, it's not every day you officiate your brother's nuptials.
In a custom House of Gille green gown that featured a scoop-necked corset top and a long silky lower half, Eilish performed on her not-so-usual stage of the altar. Although there may not have been as many people in attendance as at her arena tours, she still looked every bit the superstar.
7. Kate Middleton's simple yet stylish look
There have been many Kate Middleton and Prince William coordinated couple looks over the years. However, at Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling's wedding, Prince William and Princess Catherine of Wales couldn't have looked more uncoordinated. While William's suit was substandard, his princess' gown more than made up for it.
Catherine wore a nude-colored Roland Mouret short-sleeved tweed dress, featuring buttons through the center, powerful pleats on the skirt, and a big ol' fascinator hat. As one user on X put it, "[T]he prettiest wedding guest, she's so lovely to watch."
6. Devon Lee Carlson's cool cheetah print
Like Jesse Jo Stark before her, Devon Lee Carlson also went for an unconventional guest look at Gabbriette's wedding. Keeping it eccentric, the model wore a cheetah print dress from Roberto Cavalli that looked blue-ish in certain lights and gray-ish in others.
"I think I just know more about what I like and what works for me," Carlson told InStyle about her sartorial tastes in 2025. The iPhone case businesswoman is clearly a fan of the print, judging by her Instagram, and it definitely works for her.
5. Claudia Sulewski's super-fun after-party look
Once the vows had been exchanged, the toasts had been made, and the white dress had been worn, Finneas' bride, Claudia Sulewski, let her hair down at the after-party with a pink crop top and jaw-dropping poofy skirt from Oscar de la Renta. But don't just let us tell you this look dropped jaws. "This is the best after look I've ever seen," wrote a commenter on Instagram. "[T]he pink is everything love you didn't go white [because] why not go pink!!!" Why not, indeed.
4. Sabrina Carpenter looked lavish in lace
There's some stiff sartorial competition on this list. An outfit that came first in our Taylor Swift wedding guest looks ranked from worst to best, for example, didn't top this comprehensive wedding guest countdown. But that's not to say it isn't a great look. Although Sabrina Carpenter's custom Rodarte black lace look, with a pink rosette detail at the center, isn't chart-topping here, it is pretty perfect. It's demure enough for a guest, it fits the alleged floral dress code, and it just looks darn good. Swift's collaborator complemented the wedding perfectly with her clothing.
3. Dua Lipa's hotter-than-hell pre-wedding dress
Is there anything Dua Lipa can't do? She's a reader, she's a stadium headlining artist, and she's super stylish. A fine example of the latter is the British singer's gorgeous white Bottega Veneta bridal gown, with a halter neck and feather hem, which she wore to her pre-Italian wedding party.
"I've seen her in like 6 dresses and each one is a 10/10," said one user on Instagram. "The perfect wedding dress for me," added another commenter. We knew Lipa could do bridal, as she's worn one very inappropriate wedding guest dress already.
2. Zoë Kravitz's '60s second-hand look
Zoë Kravitz and Taylor Swift have been friends for a long time. So, like Selena Gomez, she understood the sartorial assignment at the T-and-T nuptials. Somehow, though, Kravitz understood it even better. (By the way, here's Swift's girl squad today.) "The Batman" actor wore a vintage Balenciaga sheer gown — designed by the legendary Cristóbal Balenciaga — covered in delicate dress code-fitting silver, gold, and black floral embroidery.
With this look, Harry Styles' other half (Kravitz that is, not Swift) stunned at the "Style" singer's wedding.
1. Gabbriette's unconventionally brilliant bridal gown
Gabbriette has walked for Fendi, Gucci, and Diesel. But in 2026, she walked down the aisle, and she did so in a look befitting any fashion week runway. Her custom Victorian-inspired gown from French fashion provocateurs Matières Fécales (don't Google that if you're not a fan of toilet humor) is as unconventional as it is brilliant, featuring a hand-pleated and hand-distressed silk taffeta bodice with both a triple bustle tail and a tulle train.
It was a dress so good it reduced her mom to tears even at the fitting.
