A persistent rumor that has plagued Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz revolves around the claim that Nicola can be incredibly controlling. Many critics on Instagram will frequently take to the comments under her posts and accuse her of manipulating Brooklyn into disowning his parents and claim that she's trying to rule his life. These rumors got even worse in January 2026, when reports surfaced claiming she'd behaved in a controlling manner during her previous high-profile relationship with Anwar Hadid, the younger brother of models Gigi and Bella Hadid.

While it's no secret that Brooklyn is massively tatted out, the fact remains that the majority of them are meant to honor his wife.
