The One Kardashian 20% Of People Most Want To Be Friends With
For the past 19 seasons(!), Keeping Up With the Kardashians has kept us abreast of the inner workings of the insanely watchable titular family. From plastic surgery to endorsement deals, short-lived marriages to lifelong relationships, and all the drama in between, the long-running reality show is irresistible viewing. Even during its off-season, the stunningly famous family dominates headlines thanks to their millions-strong social media followings and the fact they're total paparazzi catnip.
The prevalence of the Kardashian-Jenners has provoked hot debate over the years, particularly from those who consider them emblematic of the ills of consumerist culture ("They are capitalism in human form," argued The Guardian), but one of the biggest and most contentious talking points is simply who is the most relatable. Who would fans want to take them shopping? Who do we consider the most like us (we can dream)? And, most importantly, who would we want to be our BFF?
The youngest sisters aren't obvious BFF material
The List conducted a survey of 652 Americans to decipher which member of the extended Kardashian-Jenner clan is first in line to be their friend. Poor Kendall and Kylie Jenner ranked dead last, both earning just 13.80 percent of the votes, which even puts them behind the reclusive Rob. The youngest sisters are massively successful, of course, with Kendall taking the modeling world by storm while Kylie is a beauty maven and maybe even a self-made billionaire (or is she?).
Suffice to say, they're probably a bit too busy to entertain any new friends. Up next is Kourtney, who got just 16.56 percent of the vote. She rubbed a lot of fans the wrong way during the last couple seasons of KUWTK, with BuzzFeed even arguing that she's the real reason the show is ending. Whichever side you fall on, suffice to say Kourtney isn't the No. 1 pick for dream BFF.
Everybody wants to be Kim Kardashian West's friend
In joint-second place, somewhat surprisingly, are Khloe and Rob, who each nabbed 17.64 percent of the overall votes in The List's survey. The sole Kardashian brother has remained mostly out of the spotlight but recently re-emerged to show off his impressive weight loss. Khloe, meanwhile, has long been a fan favorite thanks to her witty delivery and spot-on impression of momager Kris Jenner. The outright winner, though, with a whopping 20.55 percent of the vote, is Kim, whose far-reaching command of public attention has made her a global superstar.
The internet-breaking celeb is well aware of her own power. When The Cut asked whether she could imagine another Kim Kardashian, the reality legend demurred, "I do think that there will be something else that will be big and just as amazing, but it won't be the same." Evidently, KUWTK fans and anyone else who knows the Kardashian name — so, everybody — agrees.
