No matter what season you're in, there's a way to nail neon eyeshadow. Morgane Martini, who did a masterclass on neon makeup, says that one of the best ways to wear the colorful look is to know that less is more. She recommends going natural with the rest of your makeup. "My number one tip would be to use neon sparingly. There's no need to go crazy here," Martini tells Vogue. "I kept it minimal — sometimes, things are more powerful when they're simple. Whereas the more you use, it can become gimmicky and you lose impact." Of course, there's no wrong way to nail a beauty trend if you're having fun. If neons are calling your name and you'd like to answer, there are many different ways to try the trend. Whether you're looking to swipe on a singular color or dive into a palette, here are some of the best neon shadows to get you started.

Neon eyeshadow palettes to commit to the trend

If you're looking to jump right into the trend and try out every neon color available, then you're going to want to invest in a palette. Thankfully, now that the Y2K trends are back in style, there are tons of different brightly colored makeup palettes to choose from. As Brit + Co points out, neon beauty looks are all over TikTok, and one of the best palettes is the BH Cosmetics Trendy in Tokyo Palette. Its 16 shades are all super pigmented and completely different. If you're looking to try a ton of different colors for an incredible price, then this is the palette for you.

If you're looking to get some everyday versatility out of your palette while also trying a new trend, then Huda Beauty Neon Obsessions Palette is the one for you. Allure names this one of the best neon palettes on the market. Since creating a neon eye look isn't exactly intuitive, Huda Kattan, the creator, shared tips on how to do it with Allure. She thinks it's best to keep it simple. "With these bright neon colors, you can't really go wrong with a simple monochromatic color wash on the lids," she said.

Use single neon shadows to ease into the trend

If you're looking just to dip your toe into the trend, then single shadows are the perfect way to start. To experiment, you can create a subtle eye look that doesn't involve adding color across the entire lid. Glamour suggests adding a pop to the inside corners of your eyes or a small neon winged liner, both of which are easy to achieve with a single shadow pan.

ColourPop has some super bright and affordable single eyeshadows to help you nail the look. Nylon suggests the ColourPop shade Sunkiss'd as a great orange hue for beginners. The gorgeous shade Heiress would also be a great way to both incorporate Pantone's Color of the Year and try the neon look all at once. Oh, and each shade is under $4, meaning you can try something new without breaking the bank. A cream shadow is also a great option. Not only will it give you the pop of color you're looking for, but it's also a bit easier for beginners to apply. Nylon names NYX Cosmetics Vivid Brights as one of the best options for bright cream shadows. The publication also names Glossier's Skywash in the shade Lawn as a great way to get a sheer neon look.

Neon eyeliner to make a statement

Of course, there is one more way to bring a bit of color to your eyes — neon eyeliner. While eyeshadow is a super fun way to get involved in the neon trend, brightly colored eyeliner makes it even easier to get a pop of color without much hassle. StyleCaster argues that you can forgo all other makeup if you pop on a neon liner, which not only makes for a fun look but is a great way to shorten your beauty routine. The publication suggests ColourPop's Creme Gel Liners to experiment with. The makeup line has a range of neon liner shades to choose from, like the bright yellow Stardust hue.

No matter how you're looking to nail the neon trend, you can't go wrong with any of these brightly colored products. Neutral makeup might be timeless, but it's fun to experiment with bright colors every now and then.
