Lauren started blogging as Yoga Chickie in 2004 after earning her first yoga teaching certification and leading classes all over New York City. In 2008, she started blogging for Arianna Huffington's eponymous Post, writing about everything from health and wellness to social media to whether it really matters if the NSA can read our emails. After cutting her teeth in hyperlocal news for two Westchester, New York media outlets, Lauren went on to write news and features for Taste of Home, Naturally Savvy, Eat This Not That, and a number of other outlets, including Reader's Digest, Just Great Lawyers, and Grown and Flown. She's also been published on MSN, Fox News, Insider, and in the print version of Reader's Digest, where several of her stories have been featured on the cover. Lauren joined Static Media in 2020 as a news and features writer for Mashed and Health Digest and has since expanded to Tasting Table, as well as The List and Glam.
Education
Lauren earned a bachelor's degree in English from Tufts University, Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude; she graduated from NYU Law School and worked as a lawyer in New York City for more than a decade before her nose for news led her to the life of a journalist.
