Celeb Husbands Whose Divorced Dad Behavior Was Off The Charts In 2025

You don't have to be an actual divorced dad to display divorced-dad behavior. For those of you who aren't members of Gen Alpha, the term refers to any lame, embarrassing, or outrageous act committed by a father. Need some examples? Have we got a bunch for you: Some very well-known men provided divorced-dad moments in 2025, which became the subject of comments, criticism, and plenty of smirking. 

In some cases, it was tough to choose just one instance. Some men gave themselves divorced dad makeovers, complete with dye jobs that screamed midlife crisis and outfits that were desperate cries for attention. Bragging about "manly" hobbies or aura farming by engaging in over-the-top behavior are other warning signs that you're dealing with someone with a DD mentality.  

From spouse demeaning to clinging to their youth by dating much-younger women, these are just a few of the high low points hit this year by notable husbands — and one man who refuses to get hitched but feels divorced, anyway. Any guesses as to what we might expect in 2026?

At first, the late September 2025 split between Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban came as a shock to fans, but it soon became clear that the high-profile couple might be better off without each other. According to TMZ, Urban was the one who wanted the separation, and in fact had moved out several months prior. Then, just two days before the announcement, Urban's petty onstage behavior during a tour was brought to light by a fellow performer. Country artist Maggie Baugh joined him onstage for his hit song "The Fighter," which was written specifically about Kidman and his promise to protect her from pain. Unexpectedly — most of all to Baugh — Urban changed the lyric "When they're tryna get to you, baby, I'll be the fighter" to "When they're tryna get to you, Maggie, I'll be your guitar player." 

The apparent diss, which Baugh shared on Instagram, sparked outrage among Urban's fans. "Wow! This is gross," went one representative reaction. "Nicole is the mother of your children. If not respect for their mother, at least show respect to the girls! ... Breakups happen but do it with grace, dignity, and respect." The comments section also included a debate over Urban's connection to Baugh herself. Some thought the two were seeing each other on the side, while a staunch fan insisted that Urban regularly changes up his lyrics when performing with a guest artist. Whatever the case, the incident branded Urban as a "Stupid Boy" this year.

Leonardo DiCaprio is what you would get if Peter Pan decided that it wouldn't be so bad to grow up just a little before returning to Neverland to arrest his development — ya know, until he was old enough to date models at least a decade younger than him without it being illegal. DiCaprio celebrated his 50th birthday in 2024, but in an August 2025 Esquire interview, he joked that he "turned emotionally thirty-five." The internet loves to read the actor to filth for refusing to date anyone in their 30s (apparently, being emotionally there with him doesn't count), and the most scandalous age gaps in DiCaprio's relationships are in the double decades. When he joined the quinquagenarian club in 2024, he was dating then-26-year-old model Vittoria Ceretti.

The "One Battle After Another" star has never even been married nor had a child, but his seeming wistfulness for his younger years and pursuit of much-younger women is very much a symptom of the divorced dad mentality. His grooming habits and wardrobe in 2025 also screamed newly single dude desperately pining for his bygone bachelor years. 

DiCaprio landed on the list of the worst-dressed guests at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos' wedding when he showed up to the June 2025 event in a black Los Angeles Dodgers baseball cap, which is very much something a divorced dad would consider formal wear. And it looked like he grabbed a box of Just for Men ahead of CinemaCon 2025 in April, as he walked the red carpet with dark eyebrows that appeared to be dyed to match his hair. Just "Don't Look Up" while looking in the mirror, Leo, and you won't see the silver signs that you're in the DD age group. 

Justin Bieber has been honest about the challenges of marriage to Hailey Baldwin Bieber, admitting that their relationship hasn't always been the stuff of romance movies. But one incident in 2025 showed the pop superstar might be causing some of the friction all on his own. In May of this year, Hailey was the cover story of Vogue, a coveted goal for celebs in all walks of life. (Melania Trump is reportedly miffed that Vogue hasn't put her on the cover since becoming first lady.) The "Baby" singer acted like a baby himself as he posted a cringey response to the honor.  On his Instagram account, he shared the photo, along with a statement he has since deleted (but Teen Vogue caught before it disappeared): "Yo this reminds me when Hailey and I got into a huge fight," he wrote. "I told Hails that she would never be on the cover of Vogue. Yikes I know, so mean." 

He went on to beg forgiveness for trying to "get even" with his wife, but fans weren't buying it. The post got more than 51,000 comments, including "May this love never find me. I'd rather be a cat lady" and "You don't deserve Hailey. Seriously." A follower wrote in Portuguese, "It's honestly disappointing to see how shallow you've become. You talk about love, but you clearly don't understand what it means."

We got our first sign that the founder of Meta was going to spend 2025 stuck in divorced dad mode when Mark Zuckerberg got caught staring at Lauren Sánchez Bezos' cleavage at Donald Trump's inauguration. Zuckerberg has been married to Priscilla Chan since 2012, and his wandering eye wasn't the only sign that he might be suffering from that 10-year itch. 

In February 2025, Zuckerberg made Chan's birthday all about himself by attempting to recreate Benson Boone's Grammy performance. He even had his tux ripped off to reveal a sparkly blue onesie like the one the "Beautiful Things" singer wore. In true divorced dad fashion, Zuckerberg thought it would be a great idea to show off his cringe, ego-stroking antics on social media. However, nobody was buying the wife guy act; it was a scene you might see in an Adam McKay comedy about a tech bro going through a midlife crisis.

Then there was Zuckerberg's sad attempt to bro out with manosphere podcaster Joe Rogan in January. On "The Joe Rogan Experience," Zuckerberg touted his MMA training. He also said at one point, "I do think the corporate culture sort of had swung towards being this somewhat more neutered thing, and I didn't really feel that until I got involved in martial arts, which I think is still a more much more masculine culture." For the interview, the masculine culture expert wore a black T-shirt, a chain around his neck, and his curls grown out and tousled. When Zuck sported the same look in a social media video, "Last Week Tonight" host John Oliver joked that he looked "like Eddie Redmayne was cast to play Ice Cube" (via Variety).

Since Brad Pitt split from Angelina Jolie in 2016, his divorced dad energy has not waned. He had three hallmarks of DD syndrome in 2025: a much-younger girlfriend, an obsession with cars, and some seriously questionable clothing choices. The girlfriend is Paul Wesley's ex-wife, Ines de Ramon, who is almost 30 years Pitt's junior. 

As for the car thing, Pitt got to get behind the wheel of some fast ones in the movie "F1." Of how excited he was to drive a Formula 1 McLaren, he gushed in a "Top Gear" interview, "I'm still on a high. I didn't sleep for 36 hours afterwards." Spoken like a man who just became unfettered from the chains of matrimony and is relishing his freedom by putting the pedal to the metal. But in chasing that adrenaline high, what a divorced dad is really doing is trying to momentarily forget how lonely he feels.

The surest sign that Pitt started feeling a little extra divorced in 2025 came in his clothing choices. Some of the outfits he inexplicably stepped out in were an all-tie-dye ensemble, a silk shirt tucked into velvet pants, and an oversized blue velvet blazer with baggy jeans that were a nightmarish '90s throwback. When GQ quizzed him about his wacky wardrobe in June, he explained, "I just feel like we gotta have fun, let's have fun. There's so much turmoil in the world, let's have fun when you can." If that's his idea of a good time, count us out.
