What Lala Kent Really Thinks Of Scheana Shay's Unusual Name For Her Baby
Bravo's hit reality series, "Vanderpump Rules," is known for the absurd, seemingly never-ending drama between its cast members, and ever since Stassi Schroeder, Lala Kent, Brittany Cartwright, and Scheana Shay all announced their pregnancies one after another in 2020, fans wondered if the drama between the castmates would carry over when they became mothers.
Last year, Shay and Kent's friendship took a turn for the worse after the "Good as Gold" singer accused Kent of "not being there for her" after she suffered a miscarriage in June, (via People). "I'm not trippin' too hard. In her mind that's how it happened. She would rather focus on me 'not being there for her' than the fact her man said he was working, turned his phone off and went golfing that day," Lala alleged of Shay's boyfriend, Brock Davies, on her Instagram Stories at the time (via Us Weekly). "Weird how that was just glazed over. This is why her relationships are always a trainwreck that make epic TV. She makes reality TV gold."
Shay fired back during an appearance on an October episode on the "#NoFilter with Zack Peter" podcast, telling the host, "I never see a friendship with her again. And I am completely fine with that," adding that she "felt herself forcing a friendship" for the last three years. Shay notes, "I don't have room for that type of fakeness in my life anymore."
What Lala said about Scheana's baby's name is actually quite shocking
During an appearance with "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen," Lala Kent got candid about her former SUR co-worker's unique name for her daughter, Summer Moon Honey. "I'm in no position to comment," the "Give Them Lala" author revealed, (via Us Weekly). "I named my baby Ocean so, like, anything can be a name now."
Kent further explained how she and fiancé Randall Emmett decided on their daughter's equally unique name, telling host Andy Cohen, "Randall and I walked past a yacht that was called The Ocean Alexander. And I was like, 'Oh, my gosh, the name Ocean is fantastic.' And I told Randall that I loved it. And he was all for it. So we've had the name and we knew whether it was a boy or a girl, that was the name."
Recently, it was announced that "Vanderpump Rules" got the green light to start filming Season 9 after the pandemic shut down production. Notably, Stassi Schroeder and Brittany Cartwright, along with their husbands, Beau Clark and Jax Taylor, are not returning. However, Scheana Shay and Kent are returning to the show, along with Tom Schwartz, Katie Maloney-Schwartz, Tom Sandoval, and Ariana Madix. "I'm excited to show off my baby and just interact with people," Kent said, (via People). "We're also coming out of COVID, so now it's like, we get to hang out, plus we're going back to a show. It's very exciting."
