The OWJ also published her blog on parenting LGBTQ+ youth, and she seeks to connect with other parents who are navigating the LGBTQ+ community with their children. Jamie released her first book of poetry on Amazon in 2023, "Faces: A collection of poems."

Jamie attended the University of Central Oklahoma for a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and a master's degree in wellness management. She studied skincare, makeup application, and Ayurvedic practices at Rizzieri Aveda School in New Jersey. Jamie also completed ABD for a Ph.D. in Health & Human Performance at Oklahoma State University.
