  • Two of Lacey's flash fiction pieces, "Cherry Paint" and "Flick the Clipper, Write for Ten, Eat Some Doritos, Fall Asleep and Dream of a Nicer Time" were nominated for the Best of the Net Anthology.
  • In 2022, Lacey worked as an Event Production Intern at the Center for Fiction where she helped run a panel with Ann Dowd for the Handmaid's Tale season 5 premiere.

Experience

While Lacey Cohen, a professional writer and editor, has expertise in fiction and creative nonfiction, she has also written prosaic pieces for a number of different publications, spanning from advertising and technology, to music, cinema, and popular culture. As a fiction writer, Lacey is always on the lookout for the most entertaining and influential films and series from which she can draw inspiration for her own stories. Some of her favorites include any and all Nicholas Sparks adaptations, classic early 2000s and 2010s sitcoms, and reality TV ranging from trashy to highbrow (if there is such a thing as highbrow reality TV).

Education

Lacey has a Bachelor's Degree in English with a minor in Gender and Health from the University of Michigan, and an MFA in Creative Writing and Publishing with a concentration in fiction from Long Island University's Brooklyn campus.
