Kristeen Cherney

Kristeen has worked as a professional writer for 15 years, with the bulk of her experience involving health, wellness, and lifestyle content. With a lifelong passion for writing, along with an interest in beauty, health, and wellness topics, the 2008 recession inspired Kristeen to think of ways she could make a living off of her expertise—this is when her freelance and online content career was born. Her work is regularly featured on Healthline.com and EverydayHealth.com, and she's also a regularly sought-after feature writer and ghostwriter on topics related to numerous topics related to health and lifestyle. Some of the topics she's most passionate about include skin care, women's health, and mental health. She's also published short books about mental health and running, and holds bylines in several well-respected scholarly journals, including Praxis: A Writing Center Journal, Digital Rhetoric Collaborative, and Disability Studies Quarterly. Kristeen also has a passion for educating others. She's a former English instructor at a Research 1 institute, where she earned an Advanced Teaching Fellowship. Additionally, she's currently completing her 200-hour meditation teacher training certificate. Kristeen brought her experience and expertise to her role at Static Media in 2023.

Kristeen graduated with a PhD in English (Rhetoric and Composition) from Georgia State University. She also holds an MA in English and BA in Communication, with a minor in marketing.
