- While living and working in Amsterdam, Alia had the opportunity to embrace her inner audiophile by interviewing one of her favorite artists, Erika de Casier.
- In addition to her editorial work, Alia also used her fashion expertise to work as a stylist and production assistant for the 2023 Calvin Klein Pride Campaign.
- As an undergraduate student, Alia wrote all of her papers on reality TV seasons, T-shirt typos, and stoner movies to bring academic merit to pop culture subjects.
Experience
Alia started working as a contributing editor for Amsterdam-based Glamcult magazine in 2020, writing articles for both the print and online publications. Through her connections at the magazine, she was hired as a freelance copywriter for sustainable fashion brands such as senscommon, as well as a studio manager, assistant, and stylist for the creative curation agency bsdwcorp. She has also written for the Milan-based avant-garde art publication COEVAL Magazine, giving her the opportunity to interview and explore the creative processes of artists from a

Alia received her bachelor's degree in literary and cultural analysis from the University of Amsterdam and her master's degree in art and design culture from the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam.
